I had a great experience with American Van Lines! I would highly recommend them.

The pack and move out was great except for miscommunication about mattress boxes. The unpacking was a huge disappointment and not any where near what we were told to expect. Too much responsibility is put on the drivers with little or no support evident. Our unloading / unpacking crew were 3 1/2 hours late and totally unprofessional when they arrived. We ended up asking our 78 year old neighbor, his 13 and 15 year old grand sons, and their Dad for help. I would Not recommend this company without a guaranteed responsible crew at both ends.

After receiving our estimate from Rob, we decided to sell a lot of our furniture since we were moving out of state and didn’t have a house yet. (Bedroom suites, bed with adjustable platform, sectional, rugs, end tables, 2 dining tables with chairs, washer and dryer, etc.) We had no issues with scheduling the moving date with John and the movers were great and very careful with the rest of our things which was mainly boxes. We asked twice for the final weight of the truck, which we were told (multiple times) would be taken prior to delivery for payment. Our items were delivered to our storage unit and a payment was never taken. The final weight was never taken. After many calls and emails for 2 months discussing the driver not answering any of their calls to discuss the weight, we were told we had to pay the estimate price. So we were screwed over by selling our items and still having to pay for them based on an “estimate”.

Team was courteous, professional, and efficient.
