Outrageous rates. Locally owned is half the price.

My review has 1 star simply because I have to click a star to leave a review. We have had a storage unit at this location for over a year. There was a recent change in ownership. The original owners were great. The new owners are located in Indianapolis, and are expecting to charge large city prices in a small community. They took over the storage units and immediately raised the prices due to “necessary upgrades.” The “upgrades” appear to be freshly painted doors and a new sign out front. They recently reached out via email regarding another price increase, which has now doubled the price of the original price for which we originally rented the unit. There is no site maintenance, the drives are sheets of ice and the area in front of the doors have drifting snow. We don’t recommend this company, and aren’t sure what we are paying for.

Edit 2/7/23: Store Space reached out and offered a 1 month free rent to amend the situation. However, we have already made the decision to go to another location. Jamie, the local supervisor, has always been great to work with, our issues are with corporate who make the business decisions.

The minute this place moved in and took over, rates went up substantially. What's worse is within 3 months, they raised prices again.. a 100% price increase! My family and I had rented here for many years, but are sickened by this gouging. They are hard to contact and simply do not care about the customers. Do not recommend.

Needed a unit in a hurry and Jamie in the office was very helpful and understanding of my situation. Couldn't have asked for a better person to help me during this time. Will definitely recommend!
