This was a disaster move. The mover came to see what I had to move. Saw it a second time and we agreed on a date and a price of US$ 2,000 from Charlottesville to DC. First they arrived at 9 am knowing that we have to load, travel to DC and my building does not accept movers after 5 pm. While loading my stuff in the truck, the owner told me that he would not be able to fit all the belongings in the truck. Finished loading around 1:30 pm and arrived at my building at 4:30 pm after getting lost somewhere. At first he told me that he would not charge m. Then he changed his mind and asked me for $ 700. I had to go along. This time he arrived late again but alone and I had to unload with. A couple a hours after two people show up. Even after this seond trip he managed to leave a few things in my house which was under contract for sale and had to be ready for walk through two days later. Brike a big pot at the entrance and did not mention it nor removed the debris.
He has no office and is the one who answers the phone. I sent him a letter to his address and it was returned.
This company should not be allowed to move people.
A lot of stress. I moved a few times; and we know moving is very stressful. But this time it was really a nightmare.
