Oz Moving & Storage - Miami Movers

I have used Oz Moving for three different moves, and my experiences have varied significantly. The first time, they moved me from New York to San Francisco. Everything went smoothly, and there were no problems at all.

The second time, I used them to move from San Francisco to a storage facility, and then from storage to Miami. The team that packed my belongings was very professional and did an excellent job. They used a lot of protective wrapping, which I initially thought was excessive but appreciated their caution.

Unfortunately, despite the careful packing, everything was roughed out and everything that could break was broken. Some boxes were lost, and the damaged items appeared to have been handled extremely roughly. For instance, a table had bent legs and frame, and my floor-standing speakers, which were very well packed, had their metal structure bent. It seemed as though they had been dropped from a height or subjected to industrial weight.

The move and storage costs made me feel it would have been cheaper to replace everything, but many of my items had sentimental value, making the damage particularly frustrating.

Still waiting on furniture to arrive 10 days after I moved into my new place. The 12 day window from first available day to receive is a joke. Nothing worse than paying for an empty apartment. Not sure why it’s so complicated to deliver furniture on time and as promised. I will never use this company again and would caution anyone looking to hire Oz for a long distance move.

Mike, Ace and Chris were awesome!!! Communication was excellent upon arrival, and they were very prompt. The team was very careful with the new space and my belongings. They also helped build my Ikea bed and any other furniture that required assembling, as well as helped clear boxes and wrapping paper from the new location. Each of them had a great attitude and would be happy to work with them again!!

They had better reviews than most so I hired them for a move, even though they are more expensive than many. They gave me a 12 day window within they would complete the move. I made plans based on this window. Stupid me!

Since I did not hear a thing from them a couple days before the end of the window, I sent them an email, I got a terse response back essentially stating they will let me know when they know. I thought a call would be better. Ha! Over multiple days everyone I talked to gave me the same response. We don't know, we are working on organizing the trailer for the move and we will call you right back. This is not one or two different people but 4. Guess how many people called me? Right! 0h, the last one, their customer service manager even went as far as to tell me, I always keep my word. Still waiting...

Now, I am stuck waiting for the furniture with no information on when they can or will get it here. Things do and will go wrong, when they do, don't count on Oz to extend you the basic courtesy of returning your calls or your emails.
