It was a pleasure hiring Julian and Darryl. They went above and beyond. Moving from a 2nd story apartment to a 2 story house is no joke. They were very efficient, professional and hard working in the heat. They really took care of our belongings. Highly recommend them for your move.

Review:

Well, we hired Patrick’s Moving because of their reviews online. So, thought we would share our experience for others. The lady my husband spoke to in the office was very helpful. That’s what the 2 stars are for! We explained what needed to be moved, and we were quoted approx. 6 hours with knowing the amount of drive time. The day started with us meeting them at our storage unit. First of all, Patrick’s Moving did not show up. When we saw a moving truck there, we asked if they were with Patrick’s (because the truck said something else) and they did not even know who Patrick’s moving was. But, we figured out, they must have sent another company, without any notification. They sent 2 guys, we had a 10x15 storage unit, mostly furniture and boxes, some odds & ends. We mostly unloaded the storage unit ourselves, took the boxes/furniture either to the elevator, so they just had to take down and load, but, when it was backed up, we took at least half and dropped at the truck ourselves. The 2 guys spent most of the time just loading the truck. 1 guy self admittedly was hung over and the 2nd guy, who we thought was the supervisor, because he handled all the paperwork, did not even know how to put a dolly strap around a piece of furniture. They cussed like sailors and we were so thankful our teenage daughter was not with us! There were only 4 pieces of furniture that needed to come in the house. We do live in the mountains and I’ll be the first to say, moving furniture into these houses is not easy! They didn’t want to do it, but we finally convinced them to move it. 1 heavy desk downstairs, 1 desk & sewing cabinet upstairs and a china hutch just inside first floor. Everything else, they literally took off the truck and we and a friend moved to our carport. They took 8 (EIGHT) hours with all our help, plus 2 hours drive time. So, we paid $1300 to empty a storage unit with doing a LOT of the work ourselves. I’m afraid to see how long it would have taken if we let them do it all themselves or if it all needed to come inside the house. I do want to mention, the guys were friendly. I’m assuming they sent the B team because they thought it would be a simple job. I would not hire them for a house move. But, maybe they’d send the more experienced guys with that move. We wondered why we were able to book a move so quickly. Thought maybe it was the slow season, but guess they just pass it on to someone else, if it’s not worth their time. Also, we thought a big turn-off, when the guy totaled up the hours, he told us the cost and said it did not include gratuity! Of course, we did tip them. But, needless to say, we were exhausted after doing a lot of the work ourselves, out a LOT of money, and were sincerely disappointed!
