I was very disappointed with my experience with Phillips Hauling Company. I needed two mattresses, two box springs, and two bed frames hauled away. Everything was moved out to the front of my house ready for them to take. Their prices were probably reasonable, although I did think their quote was a little high given the fact that most of the heavy lifting had been done for them; everything was already curbside and waiting for them. (Which did not make my house look pleasant, but I wanted to help...and I just wanted these things off my property!) The time came for them to come get the mattresses, I had made the appointment about four days earlier, and I was so excited to get this blight off my front lawn.
Well, thirty minutes past my appointment, no one had yet shown up. I called both numbers on the website to no answer. I finally got a callback who explained that she didn't know if she could get to the guy (the owner I think?). A few hours later, I finally got a call back but missed it. To their credit, he left a very apologetic voicemail. I called them back maybe 20 minutes later, and left a message but I never heard back from them. So, finally after waiting for about seven hours and hearing nothing, I finally just moved everything myself that evening. The no-show was bad enough, but the fact that they never even attempted to complete the appointment really bothered me. They never even responded to my last message. They know they didn't complete a scheduled job, and here we are three days later and I still haven't even gotten a call from them checking on whether I still needed or wanted to use their services. I was so excited to work with them and get this stuff moved, and it turned out to be nothing but a bust. Very disappointing experience.
