Review:

Plymouth Services is absolutely awful. They are a broker and misquoted me SIGNIFICANTLY. The moving company that picked up my stuff, Ocean Moving, was so great. When I called back Plymouth to speak with a manager about my extra charge, nobody would help me. They told me to deal with it. DO NOT USE PLYMOUTH!! They are a broker and do not care about your wallet.

Used Plymouth for my move from VA to TX and everything was exactly as promised. They delivered my stuff last night. delivery was on time. Everything arrived in one piece and the price was as quoted. The sales guy who shared my name was knowledgeable and the crews that showed up were polite and efficient. Great job guys!

Review:

I strongly discourage use of Plymouth Relocation Services. The agent lied about the total cost and estimated time of delivery. The movers were careless, breaking one of my items and outright losing another. There was little to no effort to locate the lost item. Which led to an equally unpleasant experience with the so-called “Claims Department,” Avast.
The Plymouth Relocation agent did a sell job on me to do the relocation in December because it was a slow time of year for them and I would likely get my possessions relatively fast since I was only moving from California to Arizona. This certainly did not end up being the case. He also said I could lock in a lower price because I was booking a couple of months in advance. Another lie.
On pickup day, the movers found ways to manipulate the situation and rationalize charging me another 150-bucks more than the previously agreed upon “locked in” total price of the move. I had no choice but to pay since they would not load until I met their “hostage” demand. After the truck was packed and I thought they had left, the foreman of the crew had the audacity to come back, knock on my front door and ask for a tip for him and each of his guys because they did such a great job. Considering I did all my own packing and generated an even more comprehensive inventory control sheet than theirs, I thought that was both ignorant and ballsy of him. Like a fool, however, I gave them each 50-bucks just the same: The work they do is hard, regardless.
It took a very disappointing nine days for my belongings to be delivered. I suppose that would be “fast” if I was moving across country. But California to Arizona? During a supposed slow time of year? Even the foreman of the delivery crew openly admitted they’d basically been sitting on their hands for the last couple of weeks.
My $200 stationary cycling trainer arrived broken and beyond repair. It was probably dropped from the truck. And it was clearly stated in the final paperwork that my living room TV stand (about $125 in value) was missing. The move crew foreman said they would check on this and he’d get back to me. He never did.
I dutifully submitted my claim to Avast, meeting all the conditions for doing so. A month went by without hearing a word from them. Finally, I called to ask the status. In a couple of hours I got an email from Avast offering me a whopping $30 to settle this claim. I didn’t realistically expect them to reimburse me for the full original purchase price of these items but a settlement offer of a measly 30-bucks was a blatant insult to my intelligence. I advised Avast that their offer was unacceptable and haven’t heard from them since. BTW, my email communications with them were cc’d to the original Plymouth Relocation agent. Not surprisingly, he hasn’t responded either.
If you want trust, integrity and professionalism from your moving company, steer clear of Plymouth Relocation Services.

Moved from a 4th floor walk-up in Jersey City to a 6th floor walk-up in NYC's upper east side - NO ELEVATOR in either building. These guys were LEGIT! They were on time and ready to work. I can't believe only 3 guys moved our 1 bedroom apt. down 4 flights and up 6! Not only were they fast and efficient, but they were really cool and friendly guys. We made sure to have bottles of water on hand to hydrate these dudes and of course reward their stair marathon with a generous TIP. Even the guy James Vincent who we only spoke to on the phone to receive the initial quote was very professional and very thorough and detail oriented to ensure everything went as smooth as possible for us! Plymouth Relocation's came in 30%-50% cheaper than 5 different quotes I was given and it was still an AMAZING service. I would definitely recommend getting a quote from these guys and letting them be the ones to help you move

Horrible. Don't walk away, RUN!!!
Moved from NE Ohio to Kansas City.
Move cost me over $1,200 from quote. Plymouth is a broker and takes no responsibilities for the carrier they assign to your move. Deposit required (understand this) then must pay 1/2 of the balance in advance prior to loading. ( kind of get this) After I was loaded they informed me I owed an additional $1,200 + ! This is where they get you. Said it was due to (2) small tables that did not have removable legs and the packing of (3) small antique bookcase/stands. I reviewed these pieces w/ Darren (Plymouth) when I received my initial quote and was told the packing of these few items was covered. Even said so on my quotation. Calls to Darren went unreturned. Balance of monies due on delivery in Postal Money Order or cash before they will unload. Would not accept a banks money order and had to go get cash. That in itself is fishy.
Discovered I was missing a wardrobe box and was given an email for the carrier's (Elite Moving) 'Customer Service'. No response.
Do yourself a favor and hire a real moving company. Don't be fooled like I was in thinking you're getting a deal.
RUN Forest RUN!!!

PS. The response from the company below is complete BS.
