PODS Moving & Storage

PODS is the worst service and scams you out of your hard earned money. First of all their POS containers leak with light rain(drivers confirmed) and then they lie and say they inspected the container and it does not leak. Yeah, ok, how did all the water get in and destroy my belongings? The way that their machine picks up the containers is all janky and totally uneven which makes all of your contents shift. Then they want you to sign a waiver saying they aren’t liable if things are damaged. What a joke. POS is a mix of franchises and corporate owned locations and the corporate owned ones like this one in Ludlow are the worst. I ended up buying my house 5 minutes out of the original location’s delivery area, so they forced me to pay over $1,200 to drive my container 100 miles west which is 50 miles past my address, only to drive another 50 miles back east to deliver it. 100 miles of unnecessary travel and risk of more damage. This POS corporate facility then increased my monthly storage fee by over $200 and said they can’t do anything about the price because that’s what this one charges. They also double charged me for storage at both facilities and I had to spend hours on the phone to get it resolved and get a refund. Even after all that, they wouldn’t give me a discount at the new facility that they forced me to pay to have my container stored there. Customer service is so horrible. This nightmare should have been over on 7/29, but the empty POS container still sits in my driveway due to “driver limitations”! So they don’t even have any drivers to come and pick it up. They give me an ETA every day and never follow through. This has been another major inconvenience and defeated the whole purpose of using this despicable company in the first place. Run. Don’t walk. I ended up using Pack-Rat for the rest of my moving and storage needs and they are incredible. Pack-Rat is far superior than this sorry excuse for a business.
