We have used PODs twice. Our second moving experience, most recent, has been rather unsatisfactory. The rep predicted we would need two 16 foot PODs. I gave her a very detailed account of how much furniture we had and two turned out to not be enough, as a result, on moving day we had to leave a lot of things behind. PODs will tell you they have outside staff to recommend for loading and unloading. Perhaps if their recommendation had depended on a professional establishment, or if that establishment had actually trained their POD loaders we might have gotten everything in the POD. Instead, we had to leave things and many furniture pieces had gouges and scratches due to rough handling. And once we got to Maryland we had competent unloaders but the loaders in New Mexico caused many problems. Then, PODs charged us a whole months rent on using a POD for four days, the fourth day due to them being closed. I recall in our first move they prorated the rent on our PODs. Evidently they have changed their policy. Would not recommend PODs. They probably charge as much as a professional moving company now, possibly, their business plan all along. The drivers dropping off a d picking up were great!

Delivery was 4 days late. When trying to reach the Frederick, MD PODS site manager, he wasn't answering calls or texts from PODS personnel to get answers why!! We waited until the following Monday and reached Clearwater, FL PODS office and Michael arranged delivery that was 4 days late. I had to re-hire the help to move. Hey Frederick, MD PODS manager -- ANSWER YOUR DAMN PHONE AND TEXTS; your fellow PODS associates and MORE IMPORTANT your customers are depending on you for answers. No credit was issued for early returns either.
