PODS Moving & Storage

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Paid extra for an afternoon delivery per landlords instructions. Everybody apparently wanted off early on a Friday… so they chose to just reschedule the delivery and not let anyone know. We paid movers thousands of dollars to be here to unload POD upon delivery. Piss poor communication. Piss poor execution. Save your self the frustration and the money. Find another alternative.

PODS has a lot of opportunity for growth. Biggest gripe- the asked how we wanted paid oriented at 2nd stop (house we moved to) and when driver arrived we were told he could not accommodate the request due to weather and need to rotate the pod 180 degrees somewhere between pick-up and drop-off. This was a major issue- we ended up paying the driver $100 cash and suddenly he was able to accommodate the request.

The move went great. There was almost no damage at all. The only damage noted was that a couple of chairs that we plastic wrapped had rubbing marks from shaking during shipment and was really our fault due to not being padded enough.

We had a problem with the pickup when PODs had an equipment issue and had to delay by 3 days. PODs worked with me to provide accommodation for the problem without complaint. I really, really, appreciate that.
