PODS Moving & Storage

David did an amazing job today. He delivered my POD as expected. He called me ahead to ask if I wanted to be at the site to be sure I could open the POD. Fortunately, I did. At the arrival, I couldn’t budge the door open. David explained that because the contents had obviously not been tied down prior to the move that many of the items had shifted around and were now pushed up against the door so it couldn’t open. David spent 30 min of his own time prying open and using tools to eventually enable the door to roll up. He was wonderful. I recommend to anyone to have their contents tied down prior to their move. Thanks David again for all your help.

Beware of the actual size of the container! I ordered 8x8, received 7x7 and was told we don’t have 8x8 even though sales and receipt say so. 1x1x1 is a lot of space to lose out on

I used the service to move from Colorado to Florida and from searching around it was the most convenient and some times cheapest option to move my stuff half way across the country. I liked being able to fill the pod at my pace then having them come get it and ship it to their holding facility in my new area code till I was ready to send it to a drop off location. I had them store my stuff for 3 months before I came and picked it up myself cause of my situation I need to store my stuff long term and I wanted a temperature controlled environment which I never signed up for or not sure if they even offer it but instead I moved my stuff to a different storage facility since it was cheaper and temperature controlled (for Florida). Overall, I would use this service again super easy, more affordable than other places that don't offer a whole package like pods does, only complaint would be they are not the most gentle with your pod in transit and often you may have a broken item if you did not brace well enough. My father who used the service many years before I did lost some items due to transport, I lost a bookshelf that I didn't care much about anyways. So BRACE it more than you think you need to ESPECIALLY near the rolling door!
