PODS Moving & Storage

The only reason I didn't give them only one star is because our drivers were prompt, professional, and great at maneuvering the PODS. Everything else was a nightmare. The first two times I used PODS for long haul moves went great (2015 and 2021) so no reason to think it wouldn't be a similar experience in 2024, right? I was so wrong. They outsourced customer service, so it was impossible to get issues resolved quickly (long phone wait times, complete lack of understanding by the reps of what PODS even does, could never easily follow up on an issue with the same rep). I spent somewhere around 30 hours over the course of the month dealing with myriad issues, from being sent a POD stinking of cigarettes, to being both overcharged as compared to the quote and charged twice for the same services, to getting a POD that was not watertight. And we were required to set up a reservation to access our POD in the storage facility--but upon getting there it took 30 minutes to get in contact with someone (they make you call customer service and will not connect you to the storage facility) and another 30 minutes for them to bring the POD out. Why did we have to reserve a time if customer service didn't even notify the storage facility that we were coming? We had serious concerns they would hold our PODS because of their mistakes (duplicate charges that we would not pay bc they were, well, duplicative) and had to open a dispute with our credit card company. You are honestly better off using a local full service mover or renting a uhaul.

We had a fantastic moving experience with PODS, and specifically the PODS location in Warren, MI. Rose was WONDERFUL to work with, as she was thorough, timely, polite and professional. THANK YOU, ROSE! I highly recommend PODS and the Warren location to make your move stress-free & easy...and ask for Rose! :-)
