After a sudden and unexpected career move, we needed a way to pack and store our household items temporarily until we established our new home. PODS was available quickly, offered storage, and allowed us to quickly transfer our stuff into our 'storage unit' directly from the house. After that, PODS took care of the rest. They were very flexible with our schedule, and final re-delivery was just as simple. One thing to note, it's convenient, but fairly expensive. Storage fees are easily three times the going rate of local self storage. Not bad for a short term storage, but not great for anything longer term. The quotes to re-deliver are also very variable. Initially, the quote was unaffordable which caused us to keep it in storage longer (adding expense). A few months later, it was better.

Overall, not a bad experience. Convenient, responsive, flexible, but we ended up spending way more than we intended.
