PODS Moving & Storage

BEWARE DO NOT GO WITH PODs! They are a fraudulent company. Not only will they pull money from your account for hidden/undisclosed fees but they will be unwilling to investigate their negligence. The POD itself is not safe for your belongings. It will allow rain water and or snow which will cause water damage to your belongings. The rubber at the bottom of the door is either not place correctly or cheap as rodents are able to get in and damage your property. The insurance is useless as it does not cover water damage nor rodent damage. You are better off going with U-Haul U-Box, Pack Rat, U-Pack, CubeSmart and SmartBox. Please learn from my mistakes get quotes from other places and ask questions most importantly if you get the insurance be sure it covers all scenarios. Again, DO NOT GO WITH PODs.

Do not use PODS! They will charge your account and not refund your deposit after cancellation! In fact, the site says 'no deposit needed and no surprise cost'. I ordered PODS on line and the morning of delivery, I received a phone call saying they were unable to deliver to my alley drive way. The driver literally suggested putting it on the drive way of an apartment building on my block instead! As well as other nonviable options. I have never had an issue with deliveries in my alley drive way in the past, putting large dumpters and work trailers back there for house remodels.
So, my order was cancelled. I called customer services and they said the deposit would be back in my account within 24 hours. That was 11-9-24. On 11-13-24, my account still was not refunded. When I called back customers services, they stated that 'sometimes you have to call you bank to get them to release the money'. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until 11-14-24. Then I called the bank and had to put in a stop payment on my account. Now my bank has to deal with a service that I did not receive. Please beware when using PODS....there is deposits and hidden fees. Don't let their site fool you.
