Price's Moving & Storage Inc

I have moved about a dozen times and must say, Price's Moving has been the best. The owner was very helpful on my initial call and outlined everything for me. He was very patient with all my questions. The day of the move the team showed up on time and everything was securely moved from point A to point B. The final payment was exactly what he quoted to me. Moving can be a stressful time, but these guys made the process so much easier. I highly recommend them!

I found them to be very friendly......BUT I allowed them to check the items as they brought them into my apartment. This was clearly not done well. After unpacking I was missing at least 4 boxes of items. After I called them to ask the driver if he noticed anything was not brought in, they never got back to me - even after I contacted them again. IF you use them YOU need to number items as they go out and YOU need to check them off as they are delivered. A little more time and cost but worth it.

Do NOT use these guys for your move! First they quoted me a rate of 'about $900' for 4 hours. I told them I only had about a dozen pieces and as long as they could do it within those 4 hours, I'd be happy. Anything else would be a bonus.

They showed up with 5 guys and TWO 27' foot trucks for a few items. They obviously intended to run the bill up on me from the beginning. They arrived 20 minutes late. They stood around for at least the first half hour doing almost nothing. Then they took 5.5 hours to do what could have been done easily in 3 hours.

The reason it took so long? They had 3 workers who were ok and worked pretty hard. But they had 2 workers who did almost nothing. One of them was Bob the owner who I guess was 'supervising'...but did very little. The other was an older gentleman with a handicap who actually got in the way a lot and spent the whole time talking and distracting everyone. I can't think of a single item he moved in 5.5 hours! I respect hiring handicapped employees but this person did NOTHING the whole time and cost me over $250 for their 'portion' of the work.

Then they ended up charging me for 6.5 hours for FIVE men...instead of 4 hours with 2 or 3 as we agreed. They would have billed me even more for the 2nd truck if I didn't ask about it. At his hourly rate plus hour 'travel time' plus fees they would have been way over our agreed upon price even if they DID do it in the 4 hrs. They even billed me for time eating pizza that I provided for them.

And finally, they ended up damaging a dresser and when I asked about it they said I never got insurance...what insurance? It was never offered to me before and they answered affirmatively that they had insurance before the move!

This industry is filled with dishonest scammers and Price's is no different. BUYER BEWARE!

Best movers hands down! This is the second time we used them in 4 years and they were great. Show up on time, moved quickly. Friendly. Great company!
