PrimeWay Movers

We used PrimeWay for a cross-country move...bad decision.

I was very thorough and detailed in my efforts to give them an accurate description of everything we were moving, as well as dimensions. I even updated it the night before the truck arrived. Despite my efforts, our stuff took up 40%-50% more cubic feet on their truck than they estimated. I'm pretty reasonable on these things and would understand a difference of roughly 10%, but 40%-50% is ridiculous. Between cubic footage and additional hidden fees, our move ended up costing double what was estimated.

When I mentioned this to a crew member he told me something to the effect of, 'yeah the sales people sometimes overpromise in order to close a sale'. WOW.

To make matters worse, after telling us we needed to be present between 7am-11am on our delivery date (or risk being charged for 'waiting time') the crew showed up around 1230pm and then proceeded to not follow my instructions properly when it came to unloading.

The only thing positive I have to say about PrimeWay is that the actual moving crews were hardworking, fast, and professional. However, its clear that PrimeWay has no clue what its doing on the business side of things. Do yourself a favor, and don't use PrimeWay.
