YOUR STUFF IS NOT SAFE HERE - MULTIPLE BURGLARIES ATTEMPTED.

this facility was previously All-American Self Storage; after getting acquired by Public Storage the facility has gone to crap.

Good luck getting into contact with the property manager. Someone tried to break into my storage unit - they assured me they would reach out to me 'the next day' to remove the broken lock and to get access to my unit. Zero response >3 days later. Had to go through online chat where they told me it would be another 3 days.

While I at the facility, another tenant mentioned that the side doors are now permanently unlocked (anyone can come in, so much for the key code), and yet another person said that the security screen on top of their unit had been peeled back. YOUR STUFF IS NOT SAFE AND THEY DO NOT CARE!

Review:

BE AWARE :f I could leave less than one star I would . So it started in July of this year. I took 10 days off of work to move. I opened one unit and closed another unit due to size. After the 3 rd day of moving I could smell a very prominent gas smell. I expressed this to Beth and she assured me that she would look into it. After 4 separate occasions and 8 days later the smell was still there. Beth was aware and did smell the gas herself. The smell made her and I dizzy and nauseous within minutes. So each occasion I let it be know it was still bad and was promised it would be taken care of. I was also promised that I would get a reduction from both u it's since I couldn't remove the contents from the old one to the new one. Well, nothing g happen. So, on the 9th day I went I to looking for To talk to Beth. Instead I spoke to this rude man named Rick. Well, Rick was the worst. I expressed my concerns and told me that there was nothing they can do except make calls to unit owners in the area of my new unit. Being concerned, I asked if there could possibly be a gas leak. Well, his answer to that was that he worked in construction and it wasn't possible. I said that maybe the fire department should be called. That was when he told me ' I don't know what to tell you, nothing I can do for you' I replied by stating that I will be going to the Fire dept. He last response was ' Do what you want, I don't care'! So I went to the fire Dept. WlIt was then I was reassured they would be going out. . 2 days later, the smell was gone. Now I was looking for the credits for not being able to get into units( when I opened the new u it I was charged approximately $70 and told it would be reimbursed the next day. Didn't happen for weeks). So I was reluctant to pay until I get credit. Now, I spoke with Rick, Tom, Beth customer service and I forget the other women's name who went on maternity leave. Not to mention the 5 occasions I went there during open hours with doors locked. Got the excuse they are short staffed and no one could be there because clearly I wasn't getting anywhere with anyone on the phone Now, I get promised over and over to have a Stephanie call me. Never received a call. I guess she is district. It seems they only care about themselves. So now, my unit is up for auction and I all I wanted was the credits promised. Now fees out of control and no response. So think ahead before Renting here. Thank you all

Editing to say that the company I reviewed was not Public Storage when I reviewed it. It was All American Storage.
No one as far as I can tell was notified in advance of this change. I just received a notice of increase on my rent from All American on 4/4 and now 4/11 I got an email from public storage saying I have a new agreement to sign. I was never notified that they were changing hands. I almost deleted because I thought it was a phishing email!!

I first rated them a year ago and I stand by the 5 stars still. In fact, I now rent a second unit there. It’s clean, it’s accessible and a bonus is the music on inside the building! Everyone is very friendly and helpful in the office as well! Highly recommend.
