Public Storage

I received a voice mail in regards to my storage unit auto pay defaulting on march 2 which I was not aware of. The rent is due the first so I was now late. Luckily for me I had planned to move out in the next few days and had some questions to ask before I made the payment. When I returned the call I missed I spoke with Sheila from the this location (Charlottesville) but my storage location is Richmond. We discussed my payment and then I went forward with my question. I asked “if I plan to move out in the next few days would I still be responsible or receive money back for the days not being rented with public storage.” She immediately got NASTY, first she didn’t know, then she told me it was possible but didn’t know on what basis, and then she couldn’t answer my question I would need to contact finance. Her tone was harsh and she was snippy and short. I was highly offended. I have not once missed or been late on a payment and even if so should be treated with kindness at all times! Sheila did not display customer service, care, or kindness. After I hung up with her I called Richmond and they were able to answer my question. They were polite and knowledgeable. When I mentioned my call with Sheila they also stated this is not the first time they have had a complaint.Thank you to the Richmond location. If this were my business I would designate someone else to make the calls to customers. Sheila would have made me move if I was not already planning to.

I highly recommend this storage for anyone who wants to move their staff to a safe and clean place.

The older lady behind the desk was extremely rude and not at all helpful. We said we wanted to cancel our reservation only to have a new charge which has caused an overdraft in my account. I HAVE BEEN REACHING OUT MULTIPLE TIMES TO HAVE A REFUND as it was not authorized to rent for an extra month. You're better off with any of the U-store It's due to its reasonable price and actual customer service.

Davey was very nice and helpful and if I had to recommend storage place it would be Public storage of Charlottesville VA:)
