Public Storage

Paid ahead. Tried to check in on a Saturday. No one on site. No one available by phone. Elevator was broken down and I was stuck on it for a good few minutes only to find out that it didn’t go to floor 4, where my unit was, of course. They refunded my monthly rent but not the other $30 in admin fees “per their policy”. If you rent from them knowing all this, I wouldn’t dare get on that broken down elevator. Most terrible customer service I’ve experienced in awhile!

No carts for move in. Exit door that wouldn't open. Stairwell door with broken handle. No onsite staff. Had to pay for unit before I could view it. Decided not to take it
This fourth floor unit as soon as I discovered no carts and they won't refund admin fee.

Reserved unit, confirmed with live person day before move-in. Took time off for move-in only to be told the unit had been rented. Upsold me into a larger until for more than double the price. Took it as I had a truck full of stuff. Went to the unit - found only one of two elevators working and the entry door lock not working so anyone can walk in. Second elevator only goes up. 'Climate control' means temps 90+. Unit had no lock, was wide open, and hadn't been event swept clean.

Moving down the street to a new facility.

I feel like I am being held hostage by this storage facility. I cannot reach a living human being when I call and no one ever calls back. The phone number listed rings to another property and no one ever answers. Calls to corporate made no difference. The cost I am paying on my unit is now more than double if I was a new account. Customer service = non-existent. I cannot get answers to questions or any help at all.
