Similar to Daniel below, I also discovered that my rental unit was emptied out with thousands of dollars worth of stuff stolen. My lock was not broken and my unit is located behind three coded doors/gates. I have also since filed a police report and am hoping to hear back soon. If you own a unit here, you might want to go check on your stuff. If you are considering renting here, reconsider. The front desk seemed to not have a full grasp on how to handle the situation. I did a walk through of the property after the theft was discovered and found security doors left ajar, gates held open, etc. Please be careful when looking into your storage unit locations.
I have been in and out of the climate controlled building on Siskin
for 20 years. The last 2 years the Air Conditioning has not worked and the building was getting up to over 105. Also the security doors on that building were not working and were always wide open. There is a new manager at that location named Bryan that I spoke to about the issues and I came in today and the air was working and the security doors. The 5 stars are for Bryan, not Public storage ! Thanks Bryan!
Nice store. Bryan was polite and helpful.
I went to my storage unit today only to find out that someone had gotten into my unit and taken thousands of dollars of personal items out of my Storage unit. I would advise people to take a look into their storage unit at this location. Somebody definitely had keys to my unit or knows how to pick locks. Apparently they’re looking into it. I guess we’ll see what the video footage shows. I filed a police report now, I just have to wait… the new guy. Ryan didn’t really seem to care about what had happened. He told me that they will look into it. The kid seemed kind of mad too, about the entire situation. just waiting to hear back.

Public storage insurance partner Orange door also known as Sedgwick denies claims due to no proof of damages of the storage unit. however, police officers are telling me that thieves are renting out storage units under false names only to climb over by taking off the mesh wiring from one unit to another, then taking off the entire door once they’re inside. I would advise to make sure that there are no mesh wiring on the top.
I find it hard to believe that they have very little surveillance cameras, monitoring the building when I have records of me going to my unit monthly within six months period.
