Very happy with the security and customer service here. There was a misunderstanding with the contract, and Helena resolved the problem promptly and cheerfully.

One star is too much quite honestly. This review is for the Gardnerville property but also Public Storage as a company. This is been by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I had to move units because I found a dead bird, eggs, bird poop all over my unit. I had to throw a lot of my personal belongings away. When I moved all my things into the new unit, I was promised by multiple people that my rate would stay the same. It has been over three months now, and my rate was increased almost $30 per month. I have spoken to the property manager multiple times despite the difficulty in getting a hold of her. She has promised me that she would escalate the situation to her regional manager. Never gets back to me when she says she will. I’ve spoken to 5 Corporate Customer Service agents who have also promised me that the issue was being escalated, and that their manager would get back to me within 72 hours. All five times this was a promise, all five times nobody has reached out. They said they have no control of pests getting into your unit, so that is the risk you take by storing your items here. The insurance they force you to pay for each month also, doesn’t cover this apparently.
