Your elevator seems to only go downhill. Not only do I have to remember the 6 digit number for each floor everytime I want to use the elevator, it closes almost immediately making it difficult to put multiple carts in the elevator without closing. The last time I tried to use it, it was out of order on a Friday and could not be repaired till Monday. The building on Fair Oaks Pasadena used to have an elevator that was user friendly and big enough to fit an entire storage unit at one time. The bogus security excuse is also lame since there are open stairs (thank goodness in case of fire) so a thief can get to any storage area they desire and use the elevator to bring the stolen goods to the ground floor. The app is totally redundant to a piece of paper.
This location does not make public their office hours. During their office hours, they may not be in the office. When asked why they don't at least have a back on five minutes sign or something like that, I was told they used to have one but it was taken away. Restrooms not available during business hours, only office hours. Staff wears headphones while talking with customers. I pay extra for ground floor unit because elevator often broken. Debris left in driveway for days at a time. I would not rent here if not for the hours my unit is available to me which is the only thing about this place that is mid rather than bad. Even then it is not worth the money. Realistically I would be better off adopting an anti-materalistic lifestyle and getting rid of my items than paying this disaster of a location to store them. Please rent literally anywhere else before you rent here.
I believe I can summarize my entire feelings about Public Storage (not just this location but the whole corporation) simply by pointing out something revealed by the first image I’ve included.
It would appear that Public Storage is offering a nice selection of things you might need when moving or storing some belongings. (Sadly the boxes they offer, while nicely priced, are of terrible quality.) The packing tape they offer is made in Hades and causes a degree of frustration previously unknown in civilized lands — avoid at all costs! The packing tape would probably be easier to manage if you were to purchase the $13 tape gun, but why would you buy that when what you really wanted was this… (see second included image)
You will note that this modestly priced, wildly effective, disposable tape dispenser is not available on their convenient wall of items for sale. I guess there’s no profit in giving people what they need.
This is simply an example (one of many) of the Public Storage approach to doing business. You might want to look elsewhere.
Jose helped a lot. Thanks:)
Arrived to the site and was greeted with great service. Site was clean. The office manager was attentive and helpful.
