Deanne is an older lady but very helpful. She took care of everything for me and showed me the unit. Do well to get her as a representative because she has excellent customer service skills. 10 out of 10.

Most absurd customer service. The office is not manned during business hours. If you call their number, you can leave a voicemail for the Property Manager who never returns calls.

Their elevators and carts are sometimes inoperable/missing. You are on your own if you encounter this, as there is no person on site.

Basically, speaking to a human there is hit or miss..... best way is to camp out in front their office till they show up.

The following is excerpts from the Public Storage On-Line Chat Feature.... unbelievable.

>>> I apologize for the unresponsiveness of the field management, however, the office is only available through appointments. If you want to speak with the property manager, I can schedule an appointment for you tomorrow at the earliest time available. Would that work for you?

>>> I apologize but the field management is not always in the rental office. The facility is appointment-based.

The office is open for an appointment tomorrow from 130 AM to 5:30 PM. What time would you like to schedule the appointment?
Zardius A • 2:49 PM

>>> I am sorry but since the rental office is usually unmanned, it is unlikely that they will return your calls.
Zardius A • 2:50 PM

>>> I apologize for the trouble, however, it is how the facility is set up, and the field management is only available through appointments.
Zardius A • 2:56 PM

>>> I see. Unfortunately, the only other option is to complete it at the rental office or at any manned Public Storage facility in your area?
Zardius A • 3:01 PM

>>> Let me check. Please hold on for a second.
ZA
Thank you for patiently waiting. Upon checking, it shows that all the rental offices in your area (Hawaii) are appointment-based.
Zardius A • 3:05 PM

>>> I understand that this is not the outcome that you expected. However, this is the only option. I won't be taking much more of your time if there is nothing else. Since you will camp outside the office, you can contact us again once you have decided when you would like to schedule the appointment. Thank you for visiting Public Storage. Enjoy the rest of your day.

don’t let these reviews fool you. This was by far the WORST experience I’ve had with a storage company. Made a reservation online for a 5x5 storage unit ON THE 1st FLOOR to move in the following day. When I got to the storage unit, the unit I reserved had a lock & neither Deenie, Hau, or their “branch” manager Chanda had any idea that THE UNIT WAS OCCUPIED BY SOMEONE ELSE.

It took them 30 minutes to figure out what to do. I waited PATIENTLY for a solution because I needed to move my belongings in asap. They offered me a 4x4 & a 4x9 unit in the meantime & that took another 30 minutes to get that reserved. By that point, I wanted to talk to a manager because the ladies were clueless on how to handle the situation & the both of them were hesitant on giving me their manager’s number.

Finally, they gave me the 4x9 unit on the 3RD FLOOR which wasn’t what I reserved & Hau stated, “the only advantage for the 3rd floor is that the 1st floor floods when it rains so my stuff would have been DAMP & critters would get into my stuff easily.” I settled for the 3rd floor unit to be able to move the rest of my stuff until I found a better storage company. After over an hour, I finally get assigned the unit number & I go upstairs to find ANOTHER LOCK ON THE UNIT. I was pretty upset so I went downstairs to find HAU & when I told her it had a lock, she chuckled & said “yeah I was gonna follow you up because the lock is ours.” So we go back upstairs & for the billionth time, I asked to speak to her manager because I was tired of them beating around the bush & I didn’t want to lose my cool on the ladies. She STILL HADNT GIVEN ME THE NUMBER. She opens the unit & it was the raunchiest thing I have ever seen with a putrid smell. By that point, I asked for a refund & she said she “couldn’t” do it that day.

By the time we got back down to the office, I had already wasted an hour & a half of my day & demanded a refund from the manager & HAU STILL AVOIDED GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY to deal with the manager to voice my concerns. Once she had seen that I was vividly upset, she finally let me talk to the manager & she was “processing the refund.”

NOT TO MENTION THAT THE STORAGE PLACE WAS FULL OF BUGS, HAD NO A/C, & SMELLED SO DISGUSTING, it’s no wonder they are so cheap.

Save yourself from a scam & ruining your belongings with this company & their TERRIBLE customer service.

Rented a unit for a little over $100 (with taxes) back in January. By July I got a notification saying it would be increasing to $137. That’s a 37% increase in just 6 months. Apparently, it’s every sixth month they increase their rates. Within a year I’d be expected to pay $187 for essentially a broom closet that I had. Who knows when it stops. 74% rate increase per year is worse than the rate of inflation. I’d rather sell my belongings. Plus you’d think at those prices they could fix the pot holes around the parking lot and have an automatic exit gate so you can just drive up and leave. Why do I have to enter my code to exit? ??‍♂️
