Wayne the Manager was great. He was very helpful.

Diane was so patient, kind, and helpful this morning with our new rental and transfer! She took the time to guide us through the process, show us the new unit, inform us about all the important things, and answered all of our many questions.

The rental space is super clean, and I feel safe and comfortable with the access code and hours. This is a place that I don’t have to worry about our things being damaged or stolen. Definitely recommend!

I’ll start with the good things.

The building is nice and clean, the app based access is quite convenient.

The things that need improving.
They have a hand full of carts you can use while at the building but truthfully they don’t have enough. Many times I had to search around and wait for other people to finish using them. It’s air conditioned, but only to high 70’s so if you are in there doing some work, you will come out soaked in sweat. They have office hours but no one is there. You call and after 5 min of options you can connect with the actual location and no one answers.

Now to the real issue. This place baits and switch’s on the price like nothing I have ever seen. We rented a 5x10 unit in on 06/29/22 and the monthly rate was $273, on 12/2/22 they raised the rent to $345. A 26% increase. On 09/23/23 they raised it again to $395 another 15% bump. Now on 06/01/24 they are raising it again to $497 another 25%. In less that 2 years they raised the rate 182%. $273 x 1.28% $396.

They count on the fact that it’s a lot of hassle to move your stuff once it’s there and likely other places on the island do the same thing, so that got you over a barrel. My unit was by no means one of the biggest ones there so I can’t imagine how bad it’s gone up for some people.

Their business models costs couldn’t possibly have increased so much in that period of time. They bought the land (likely at or was refied at the historically low rates of recent times), they built a building again those costs were likely financed at a low rate.
Their staffing costs can’t be high as I have noted no one is there half the time you go there. Then they got utilities and taxes. So where do you justify such a brutal increase?!? Oh right…. Corporate greed.

Honestly the best experience my husband and I have ever had when it comes to renting out storage units. The promotion is so awesome and the customer service here can’t be beat!!! Wayne is so awesome and so so so helpful!!!! I just can’t say thank you enough for you help during our rental duration. if you ever need to rent out a storage for more space or what have you, do not hesitate to rent one at Public Storage Ewa Beach location! So glad we did, it definitely made our move so much smoother!
