Forbes, and Bloomberg gave United 4.5 stars as one of the best moving companies in the world especially for cross country moving.

Eric came out and gave us an estimate, which was higher than others, but a fixed price. Having moved cross country on multiple occasions my wife and I decided to use them. We priced in packing our home the day before. The weather in western Maryland was bad so they didn’t show until after 12 pm. Due in at 8 or 9 am. One person a dispatcher came. A driver showed up 2 hours later. They both left i n the late afternoon. The next day they sent 10 people to pack and 2 trucks to shuttle and load.
They drilled screws into antique furniture and separated pieces that they failed to put back together. The contractor people they sent refused to speak with us despite direct communication from us to them.

They dropped furniture coming down stairs and when we said something to them they laughed at us. I called to share the information and requested the owner Howard to call back. He never did. They damaged my bike and armoire. Not to mention the baker furniture.

Poked hole in the wall, never reassembled the furniture they took apart.

I give this company 1 star. The initial process was great, the driver to NC was fantastic and the warehouse person getting boxes was awesome. After that service was terrible. Some of my things didn't get inventoried and when they were broke the company doesn't want to take responsibility for them. Hundreds of dollars of things. More things broken than I can count and because the box wasn't damage they don't want to take responsibility for it. Movers dropped things in front of me and you feel rushed to keep things moving.Be careful at there sales pitch nice upfront not trust worthy in the end. Good Luck
