We moved from California to Tennessee last year. They told us one price for all our stuff they wanted more money.we had to leave half our things in California and the things they delivered was broken or smashed. Our new washer was gone probably stolen and my 40inch tv was broken and my son's 60 inchtv was gone.when they finally made it to Tennessee we had to unload the truck our selfs hard to do since I am disabled. These people are crooks and very dishonest. They really need to have a lawsuit against them from those who have been screwed by this company...
They don't even deserve a star and they should be behind bars!!They are liars, crooks and thieves. They quoted one price and when they showed up for moving day they doubled it. We were stuck because we had to be out of the house that day. They came with a huge van and loaded it but it was delivered in a small U-HAUL van. The boxes were basically ALL crushed and so was the furniture. Items were stolen as well. A tub of baseball jerseys as well as a bronze statue that we received from a grandfather who had passed away. Also they were late with delivery. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE AWFUL PEOPLE. Pictures attached.
Had a horrible experience with Rapid Van Lines. Our household did get picked up and delivered, but had major issues with the delivery. Shipped from CA to NY in a freight truck without lift or ramp. All pieces of furniture suffered damage and the top to our dining room table was lost. After a year, table top is still missing; status on damage claim of $2,000 is in limbo. RVL offered $80 payment for missing and damaged items, was unwilling to pay half of arbitration (which by law they should) and are no longer participating in American Trucking Associations which is a recourse for arbitration.
I too have a very similar story to the many one star reviews left. After weeks of waiting for our furniture to arrive and being yelled at to “read the contract,” when it did finally arrive to be unloaded by day laborers who had never moved furniture, the second part of this nightmare began. When they picked up our furniture, our previous quote of $10k jumped to $15k (of course after everything was loaded on truck). When we received the notice that our stuff would be arriving in a few days, the demand was to wire more money to get it. The day laborers destroyed my new house — wood floors ruined (see photos) as they just pushed furniture across the floors. Most furniture arrived damaged or completely broken (photos below). This company is a complete fraud. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!
Avoid using this company at all costs. They are highly unprofessional and use stall and stonewall tactics to cheat you out of your money. They claim to have a good warranty and claim process to protect your possessions, but will drag you through the mud to leave you to your ruined items without compensation.
They blatantly operate against the law and violate DOT requirements for arbitration and know they can get away with it because it just isn't worth pressing charges with a lawyer for how badly they operate.
