I had an awesome experience with this company! I was in a pinch and explained my situation and he was great with squeezing us in!!!! Will definitely be using them again. All the employees were very attentive to details and listened to all of my requests!!!! Thanks again for everything.
Relocate & Decorate is a top notch moving company! They are professional, patient, efficient, and SO careful with everything from pianos to lamps. Awesome customer service and amazing work!
On a 98 degree day, 3 gentlemen came to move us. I packed everything beforehand so it was loading and unloading. After the umptenth time unloading to my second story house, the guys never complained once. They’re spirits we’re always upbeat and professional. Everything was moved as if all boxes said fragile. We highly recommend this moving company!
Best customer service ever!! These guys are amazing! I would highly recommend them. My move from Wake Forest to Apex was as smooth as it could be!
BIG MISTAKE! After my initial meeting with Don Winstead, the owner of Relocate and Decorate Moving Services, I thought I was making a good choice. Boy, was I wrong! Don was pleasant, charming and appeared to be professional, but I did not receive the quality service I was expecting. Don showed up at my storage unit on the first day, got his crew moving things and went on his way to appointments. He has never been to my new home. His crew was pleasant in the beginning, but this move was too much for them and he later agreed. It took 5 trucks (26 ft) and 5 days to make the move. On three occasions they left furniture and boxes on their trucks and took the contents back to Wilson. Don has a very senior aged staff that wanted to leave close to 5:00 and return the next day. I’ve never had a crew not finish unloading a truck and have to return the next day to finish unloading. I have experienced multiple moves and had very successful moving events. I was told after one truck moved some possessions, things got shifted going up my driveway and two legs got broken off a dining room side boy. This could have been prevented with proper packing of the truck. Don had the piece repaired and returned it a couple of weeks later. I had more scratches, chips, and multiple feet missing or broken than any other move I have ever made. When the movers were placing boxes in my home, they were poorly stacked with labels facing the wall and I was unable to read what was in the box. I have an extensive number of collectibles and someone helped me move them myself. Thank goodness I did. None of the fine crystal, glass, ceramics and fine collectibles I packed and moved were broken. You may want to consider a younger crew with more energy that can get the job done much more carefully. You pay for the time they leave their warehouse in Wilson to your destination and they had to make multiple trips. Too much lost time and the leader of the team kept going to his car to make calls. Tick Tock. Another staff member told me he saw a lot of things that had been done wrong. Overall, poor quality and poor service. Don made a poor estimate of costs and it was much more than originally discussed. There are much better choices out there.
I agreed to pay 2 guys to help me on Sunday afternoon to finish moving things in my garage and yard. Neither showed up and I sat in my rental truck crying in the rain. Multiple calls to the 2 guys and Don, the owner, and they quit retuning my calls. After being abandoned, I called my neighbors. The husband and wife came over to help me. No other help available on a Sunday afternoon at the last minute. The next day I had to go back to hang two bedroom doors and tear down a freezer size box filled with their trash. They also left some tools upstairs. I had to finish that day for a walk through. It took me 30 minutes to cut down the extremely thick box and put everything in recycle and trash bins that was theirs. Extremely unprofessional!
After a near death experience a few months earlier, I now have a heart condition. This process was overwhelming and the doctor came close to putting me in the hospital. The stress and physicality of everything was way too much for a 71 year old widow with no family to help or offer support. No one ever followed up with me to see if everything was moved or to see if I was o.k. It was obvious to them I had physical disabilities. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed and have much, much regret choosing this mover. If you have valuables or furnishings you love, you better think twice.
