This is the third time I used Relocation solution. After all three moves I can defiantly say that they are not scam like many movers. They have their own truck which was pretty large and clean like a new one. I saw it first when the movers came to my apartment to upload the stuffs. There was sufficient room in the truck to accommodate my four rooms items. The crews were expert and wrapped with plastic and use blanket for delicate items. They had top priority for the customers requirement. They truly exceeded my expectation. I would like hire them in my next coming move.
any good reviews on this site are written by people from the company. They have a pyramid scheme of dishonesty down. I will continue to make sure I post to every review site possible so to keep others from having to deal with the hardship I had. I was quoted $3500 and ended up paying almost $8000 once everything was on the truck. I only moved one bedroom and a living room and a loft. Completely ridiculous. I was quoted 4000-4500 by other big name movers, but went with them because the guy I spoke with on the phone was so kind and so trusting. Once all my stuff was placed on the truck, I was hit with a doubled quote. They wanted this IN CASH or they were going to charge me a credit card fee of 6%!!!! I refused and wouldn't pay until they waved this fee. Had i not had to close on my house the next day I would have told them to unpack the truck. I was stuck! When my things were delivered, I had broken lamps, picture frames and damaged furniture. My bed is all scratched, dressers have huge chunks missing from the wood. My brand new white couch has black Greece or ink all over the cushions. To top it off there are multiple things that never even got delivered. The movers were smoking weed in their truck on their breaks. The company is so crooked no matter who you talk to. They do not care about customer service because they already have your money.
The part that has me really ticked off is that i have thousands of dollars in damaged items and was put in touch with a customer representative named whitney who was very kind and listened to my complaints and acted like she genuinely cared. she called me back a few days later and asked me for a dollar amount that would satisfy me. I did research and based on the weight of the items i shipped my move should have cost around 4000. I requested 3000 in return considering my damages and the fact that i was ripped off to begin with. She said no that would be too high and I ended up settling with what I could get which was a little over $1200. I was told 'Would $1200 be an ok amount to satisfy you.' I said yes and about a month Later I called back and was told there was no claim filed under my name. I finally got in contact with Whitney again who told me she never told me they would give me $1200 she simply asked if this would satisfy me. She brought that number back to the moving company who denied my claim. WHY WASN'T I INFORMED MY CLAIM WAS DENIED. WHY WAS I LED TO BELIEVE MY CLAIM WAS BEING HANDLED!?
WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I WARN YOU TO WEED OUT THE FAKE GOOD COMMENTS ON THIS SITE AND READ THE NEGATIVE ONES. THEY ALL HAVE A COMMON THREAD AND SAY THE SAME HORRIBLE THINGS. DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE CROOKS!
It was definitely hard to request them for any more service after what we received from Relocation solution. I thought finding out a trustworthy mover might be complicated for me. But no, luckily I was referred for this company and that came out as the best for me. They came on time, finished on time and reassembled everything what was disassembled on move day. There was no hitch on their work. They did everything thoroughly. After my belongings were taken to their warehouse for a day, they came on the next day to inspect whether any other movable items were left. Then total stuffs were delivered in correct stint. I am happy and always want to work with this company.
THESE GUYS ROCK! THEY DID MY MOVE FROM JC TO NYC & THEY MOVED MY DAUGHTER DOWN TO FL ALSO. BOTH MOVES WENT SMOOTH & THE MOVING MEN WERE COURTEOUS & TRUE PROFESSIONALS. THANKS GUYS! I WOULD DEF. RECCOMMEND RELOCATION SOLUTION TO ANYONE MAKING A LOCAL OR LONG DISTANCE MOVE.
My experience with Relocation Solution was terrible. The quoting process was over the phone. The sales agent gave me a rough estimate of about $1400; No one ever came out to our apartment to take inventory of the things we had to give us a proper estimate.
I was expecting to underestimate the amount of things we had by quite a bit, not purposely, but because i'm not an experienced mover. I was expecting a moving cost closer to the other estimates (businesses that actually sent a representative to give a more accurate estimate) of around $2500. I decided to go with Relocation Solution because I figured the price would be competitive and I was pressed for time to make a decision.
The phone quote was based on medium boxes, although no dimension specification on what constitutes a small, medium, large, or extra large box. The quote ended up being more than double, $2900. The drivers then tried to make my wife feel bad for being upset over this bait and switch tactic. Lesson learned.
The movers arrived and gave me the new quote. The movers consistently asked me for a tip, even before they started moving. The movers even suggested the amount of tip i give them. They had my possessions in their hands; I felt trapped
The movers told me there was a 6% charge for the use of credit card payment, although this is stated nowhere on the “binding” estimate that they gave me.
They mentioned that they give no estimates on delivery dates, only that it was 24-48 hours before delivery. There are only very rough estimates. Our delivery was picked up on July 27th, with an earliest delivery date of August 4th. I called this company multiple times and was told i would be called back. It never happened. I tried to escalate the issue as high as i could, and when I got in touch with someone who I thought could help me, I was put on hold from 4:20pm - 5:03pm. At 5:03pm, the phone hung up. I tried calling back and the phone just rang.
Our things finally arrived in Florida on August 12th. Our boxes were smashed, and many of our dishes were broken. Boxes that were clearly labeled as fragile were crushed. This was not the worst of it. Two of our boxes were not even in the delivery! We are missing many items. To top it off, we were delivered items that were not ours. This business has terrible logistics and even worse customer service. A 1-star rating is much too high for this company.
