Quoted $150/hour plus 1/2 hour travel time, plus $75 for a piano. No mention of minimums at any time in 3 different conversations, including with Richie himself. Job completed in 1 1/2 hours, but we were charged for 2 1/2 hours, PLUS a whole hour travel time (pickup was 10 minutes from their site, drop off was 15 minutes from their site.) Plus a fuel surcharge, which was never mentioned either. And then they charged piano rate for an old pump organ that was the lightest item they moved that day. So I expected to pay about $450, but I was charged $693. The workers themselves were good, polite, moved stuff quickly though a bit on the rough side. But we have no beef with them and tipped them well. I just hate being lied to by the management. My calls to them now go to voicemail and they have not returned my call.
EDIT: They did finally return my call, not the next day as their response says, but two days later (52 hours and 22 minutes to be exact). The comment about stairs and heavy items is also bogus, since I told them the exact number of stairs to expect right from the start, and they found a way to use fewer stairs in the end anyway. And there were no extra heavy items. There were only 7 items to move at all, and they charged extra for the pump organ just because it's a musical instrument, even though it was extremely lightweight. I do however appreciate that we finally compromised and I am expecting a $150 refund to arrive in the mail.

Absolutely great experience! We moved about 20 minutes from our previous location and 3 guys had us moved from one house to another in under 5 hours. I would absolutely use them again and or recommend them to anyone that needs movers. Fast, reliable and they went above and beyond.

Richie and his crew helped me move from my city apartment. They were fast, efficient and extremely professional. My boyfriend used to work for a moving company back in college and he was extremely impressed by Richies work. I will definitely use them again when moving and recommend them to anyone I know. Moving is always a hassle but Richie and his crew made it extremely easy and worry free!

Declined a job less than 5 miles from their home base because they didn’t want to “scratch” anything. They never saw the job and we agreed to their price for 3 guys, even though it would certainly have taken less than 1 hour. We offered to remove doors to help, even though there was more than 4 inches of clearance, the piece was just too heavy for us so we asked for their service. Very disappointed by the dishonest answer. They could have told us immediately that the job was too small for them to bother and we could have called another mover. Unless you have to move a household, don’t bother with Ritchie, because they aren’t interested in your business.
