My experience with Righteous Vanlines Moving company ended up okay. At first, I became a bit skeptical because the prices changed on me during pick up. We were on the third floor and had elevators. No one really told us that extra stairs and elevators would be extra charges but it was outlined in the paperwork so we were okay with that because after extra research on moving companies, it was not unusual that moving companies did charge extra fees for these services. I just wish that we could have been aware upfront. As far as the moving team...we were satisfied with their customer service both in how they handled us as customers and how they packed our items. Once we received our things in Spencer, WI, we did run across an extra fee because we were on the second floor but this fee was waived and we all left off happy. I would recommend this company but I would also advise others to ask questions regarding stair and elevator fees (if applicable) upfront so that there will not be any surprises. As for the service of this company, we were very satisfied! Good luck!
RUN! RUN NOW! DO NOT LOOK BACK! It will be worth you paying a couple hundred more for a reputable and accredited company to move your items. Several things went wrong with our move.
First, Donna assured me that all of our belongings would fit in a single 26'truck, even tho I called SEVERAL times and explained to her that I did not believe they would. She assured me that her team were professionals and they would ABSOLUTELY fit all of our belongings into the single truck. Everything DID NOT fit, not even close, we moved a 2k sqft home, and now we will have to return to our previous residence, 6 hours away to continue the move ourselves with an additional truck and be out of pocket for that as well.
Secondly, Donna told me several time in the week before we moved that this was the flat rate price, there would be no additional charges. LIE- before our truck would be unloaded at our destination I was forced to pay an additional $505.00 or they were going to hold our items!
Third, four days prior to our move Donna called to try to move the date up two days, when I told her that was not possible she changed the time the movers would be there from arriving at 8am to arriving at 6am. On the day of the move the truck and movers did not arrive until close to 9am! I tried to call the company several times that morning, and was never able to get through. When the men finally got out of the truck I tried to speak to the team leader about the fact that they were late and I was told 'ma'am- I don't want to hear it. I was on another job until 2am last night, only had time to go home, shower, eat, then I was back on the road. The office over booked us for this trip and it should never have happened. We never do long haul deliveries in the same day. I'm tired and I haven't slept, I'm not going to deal with this right now. '.
Fourth, by the time the drivers/movers got to our destination, the lead man was so tired he slept in the truck while the two other men un loaded. I had everything color coded by room, the men put the large items in the appropriate rooms, but put smaller boxes and other items in the garage and living room. They also refused to move our sectional sofa downstairs and left several of my expensive components related to my home business in the garage on the floor, even though I asked them repeatedly to take them downstairs to the office. The movers were here until nearly 3am then they had to drive nearly 9 hours to get home.
Fifth, I have tried repeatedly for several days to contact the company and their phones are now turned OFF! I receive a message that 'this number is not accepting calls at this time. ' I have also tried calling from other numbers, thinking they may have mine blocked, but get the same message.
Sixth, our freight was NOT handled with care, several boxes were smashed and I'm finding broken items in nearly everthing I open.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.
I could add more, but-I think you get the idea. DO NOT USE RIGHTEOUS VAN LINES, THEY ATE NOT RIGHTEOUS! :'(

This is probably the worst moving company I have ever hired. Please do not hire them. They broke more then half of our belongings and they took 1 month to have our things moved from Texas to Utah. Please hire another company. They have the worst customer service ever and they are really rude. They also are really bad in getting back to you. They have been really disrespectful to both my husband and I. They always had us in the dark and they still are because we filed a claim and it has been over a year and they still can't reimburse us some of the money we paid.
Love the whole process of my move from start to finish with Righteous Van Lines. Price was the best one I was quoted out of about 10 different movers. The gentlemen who did my move were kind, gracious and took the time and care of moving everything I had boxed up and then some....Made me feel at ease and even went back to get my gas grill that was forgot on the truck. I would highly recommend Righteous Van Lines to move your items.
Even one star is gracious! Worst moving experience ever. We moved in March 2014 from TX to UT and we are still fighting to get our money back.
Very quick summary... the day of the move, before they even loaded up the truck to see the 'additional space needed' they demanded I pay $1000 more than the original quote. I had even sold some very large items like a large couch, washer, dryer, since the quote!
It took over 3 weeks to get my delivery, even though they told me 7-10 days. When it came, only one mover was there, so even though we paid these guys to load and unload, we had no choice to help because no one else showed up.
After unloading everything, we noticed our brand new memory foam mattress and bed frame was missing. We called Righteous and they admitted it had been left behind but it would ship soon. 2 months went by and they admitted it was gone. He promised to fully reimburse us. But then he stopped taking our calls and we never saw a payment.
When we submitted to the insurance claim, we only got $68 back out of $650 lost!! We are still disputing the claim. Basically we were out $1600 by the end of it all. If you value your money...pay a little more for someone like ABF!!
