My Family and I hired Rigo's Delivery and Moving company for our move from California to Tennessee. Despite having a couple of issues, they were helpful and generous and quickly resolved the issues in a fair and reasonable manner. I believe that the Owner and the employees of this Moving Company truly cares about their Customers and their job. Normal wear and tear on the outside of the boxes and packing containers is to be expected during a long moving process. That's why it's so important to use good quality thick bubble wrap for any fragile or breakable items. I'm thankful that I did. Ellie, the Customer Service Coordinator, is very knowledgeable and professional. Their dispatch coordinator Anna sent me a text message right away to let me know once my belongings had been loaded on the truck. And, I received a text message and a phone call from Javier who gave me more than 24 hours notice before delivery. And, the night before he gave me a 4 hour delivery window. And, then he called me about 1 hour before his arrival. All of my furniture was professionally and securely wrapped with shrink wrap and moving blankets. They delivered my belongings quickly, and their prices were reasonable and competitive. I would hire them again.
Thank you, Rigo's!!
They failed to tag some furniture, they either stole them or lost them. They left behind 2 full Kitchen cabinet drawers of utensils I discovered after they left . They lost or stole a dolly and a step ladder along the way (probably thought it should stay in the truck) I'm getting compensated about $50 dollars for about $400 worth of loss
I also feel I paid WAY too much for 1/4 of a truckload.
Look for someone else to move your belongings
May be the cheapest, not that cheap! It was over $2,000 for them to lose 4 boxes including a big tv box from California to Texas. It seems they contract out deliveries because the delivery driver that arrived in Texas was rude when he was notified that the number of boxes were short, while his young son or partner stood there playing with his knife!!! Now they say it takes up to 4 months to track down lost boxes. Most boxes were received damaged that were clearly marked fragile. I would not recommend them at all!! They may seem appealing because they come in as the cheapest, but if you value your items, find an alternative or a trusted BBB company. I should’ve just paid a family member or friend to drive, hotel stay. It would’ve been cheaper or cost the same but at least I would’ve received all of the items and not damaged, since it was a delivery that arrived in a uhaul truck anyway.
I'm giving 4 stars, even though I'm still missing a few items and have someone else's item with their inventory sticker with the Lot and Piece #. Everyone, from the movers to the customer service representatives that I've spoken to and communicated with via email have been very polite and professional, during this hot summer, with staff shortages, especially in the physically demanding labor sector. Communication was very impressive during a chaotic and 116 degree day of moving.
I read on another review that I am forfeiting any claims reimbursement if I post a review and that's okay with me. I hope my review helps this company and helps their customers in the future.
I highly recommend to customers to do their best to label their items well, with their name and where the item's destination is, as it appears that some of the inventory stickers may have fallen off my items that are now missing. I can imagine the likelihood of this occurrence due to the heat of summer. I wish I had taken the time to at least label the most important items. I did hand write on one cardboard bankers box that had important items in it, and I'm glad I did. I know it wasn't my job to label items, but the reality is labels do fall off. I wish I had even gone so far as to put a luggage tag on a recurve bow that went missing. I can see how a sticker could fall off the smooth surface of a bow. It would have been better if I had put the bow in a case with a luggage tag. It was a gift that came without a case.
Also, the box that I received that belongs to someone else didn't have an inventory sticker on the outside of the box. Once I opened the box and thoroughly went through it, I then discovered an inventory sticker on one of the items inside the box. Putting identification inside boxes and containers is helpful.
Photos of items before shipping are helpful to identify them, if they go missing. I know moving can be very chaotic and this is a lot ask. I didn't have photos of my missing items so I Googled each item and was fortunate enough to find similar used or new items for sale that helped to identify my missing items.
I hired Safe Ship Moving Services, a 'Relocation Broker,' with a 9.9 rating on getmovers com, after Googling Best Long Distance Moving Companies. Overall I think Safe Ship Moving Services did a great job.
Update: Still haven't heard back from Rigos regarding the box WITH THE INVENTORY STICKER that belongs to someone else. I provided this information, on behalf of the person or people who shipped this, to Safe Ship, who contacted Rigos.
Maybe whoever lost their box will see this review and contact Rigos and identify the contents of the box, so they can retrieve their items.
