Riverfront Moving & Storage deserves less than one star. At first, JR was friendly and responsive—clearly eager to secure our business—but that’s where the customer service and quality ended.

JR grossly underestimated how long our move would take, and things only got worse from there. Three out of the four movers were incredibly rude, and their lack of professionalism was shocking. They left behind their personal garbage (empty tea and soda bottles) all over the building and by the elevators, both at the place we moved from and in our new building. They even broke items that were clearly marked with arrows pointing “up,” and completely ignored our box labels—dumping all boxes in one room despite many being clearly designated for the 'kitchen', 'office', etc. This careless handling created significant problems on our end.

To add insult to injury, they left a huge pile of cardboard boxes in the trash area near the dumpster and abandoned many of our items still wrapped in tarps, plastic, and cardboard. Considering I tipped each mover an extra $70 (a total of $280), and fed them diner, you’d expect at least a modicum of respect and care. When I emailed JR—the guy who was responsive before we paid—to ask why his team left such a mess, I never received a reply.

With so many better options out there, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Riverfront Moving & Storage.
