Robb & Messer Moving and Storage

They were good on some things -- responsive to questions, prompt, communicated well about the pick up. Delivery was terrible. They told me they were storing my belongings in Seattle (near where I was moving), but the driver from Oregon said he went to Petaluma to get them. It was difficult to get information about delivery timing, it was pretty much, 'we'll show up when we feel like it.' Two bikes were smashed, a file cabinet had the casters on the bottom broken off, coffee table was gouged, and the delivery driver says he is going to send back the silverware that went missing and he 'found,' but we'll see if that happens. I guess movers generally realize they don't sell a repeat product so who cares.

The team was communicative and efficient and the quote was competitive. Great local business.

From the initial contact to the final drop off of furniture, our experience with Robb & Messer Moving was excellent. Rich, who came to do the initial walk through, was on time and very thorough. He sent our estimate quickly and was very responsive to any questions we had. Although it wasn’t the cheapest estimate we got, it was certainly the most professional and dealing with everyone in the office was so smooth we felt comfortable going with them. We are so glad we did. On the day of the move the crew showed up on time - a few minutes early even - with the biggest truck I’ve ever seen (!) and quickly got to work. I can’t say enough good things about the driver/supervisor, Luis. He was personable and thorough in letting us know how things were going. The crew of 4 were very efficient and wrapped furniture/delicate items very carefully. The were so professional it was obvious they had worked together before and had a good system. Carlos was great in organizing the load going into the truck. Arrival at our new house was sooner than expected, and while this time it was only Luis and Carlos offloading the truck, they did a great job. Both crews worked hard and we tipped them well. They were totally worth it. Oh, and our final price was actually LOWER than the contracted price, since we had packed a few bigger items ourselves and didn’t use their boxes. This goes to shows the honesty of the company. I highly recommend Robb & Messer Moving.
