Great people. Great service. Highly recommend them.

I recently used Rocky’s Moving for a local move of my residence in Marin County during the Covid-19 pandemic. I could not have been more pleased in all respects. These included:

Price: The cost quoted was among the lowest and less than half the estimates provided by some other highly rated companies. As importantly, the final charges were exactly what was quoted and there was never any attempt to up the price as some companies do for a few extra things that I forgot to mention.

Professionalism: The movers were most courteous, punctual, careful, and helpful throughout the entire moving experience. In two cases, they found pieces of my dining set and bed frame that needed minor repairs and after showing me the problems, they repaired them on their own initiative. In addition, they allowed me time to try different locations for a large couch and a few other items and did so cheerfully.

No Damage: All the items were moved without any resulting damage. Several valuable and personally valued items were treated with exceptional care and professional regard and arrived in perfect condition.

In short, the entire experience far exceeded my highest expectations. it is with great confidence that I would unreservedly recommend Rocky’s Moving.

Rocky’s Moving Services rocks! We have used their services twice now, and both times the moving service was professional, organized and timely. Most important though, is that Rocky and his team have heart; they care about people.
For my second move, I originally lined up a mover in my town of Sonoma, who told me the night before my move that he was out of town. Argh!! The morning I was supposed to move, I called Rocky, told him I was desperate, and he said he would make the move happen. And he did!
He contacted two movers for me who had the day off, and added a third, since I gulp, had underestimated the load.
It was hot, the movers had to wear masks when appropriate and they were GREAT! They really know what they are doing and are smart about how they do it. At the new house, we needed to apply felt tabs to the foot of the furniture to protect the floor. The movers made sure we were able to do this.
I forgot to mention that Rocky’s pricing is super fair; I don’t think you will find better.
We feel so grateful for a truly service oriented company, with a hard working, caring team who get the job done. If I was to move again, I would base my move date on when Rocky’s Moving was available.

Pricing and execution were excellent. I appreciate the value added: they loaned us boxes, paper and wardrobes. (BTW, Rocky nailed the number of boxes we needed as well as his estimate to load the truck.), the disassembly/assembly of furniture, etc., their patience with my indecision as to the room in which to place the boxes as well as my failure to label the boxes by room. (I have never used professional movers, so my focus was finding what was in the boxes. I had assumed that everything would just be unloaded into the garage.

There was one inexpensive heater got a ding/big dent. I have not found any other breakage or scratch. The crew worked really hard. I can't fathom how they do this day in day out. (Maybe they don't work quite that hard as we had a LOT of books and OVER LOADED boxes.) The crew never a complained to us. A gentle chiding maybe.

I don't understand how they can be so cost effective. I speculate that it's related to experience and the number of years in business. I love that we could return all the materials to Rocky for future multiple reuses instead of trying to squeeze the materials into our recycling bin.
