DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I am not the person to write reviews but i want to warn everyone- Do not use these movers!!! Initially, the rep putting together your contract is very friendly. My customer representative was named Jordan. He was helpful and really did seem like he cared for my move. We had talked about the total price numerous times, I made sure what was on the contract was all that I was paying especially because my move was very small (15 boxes and 2 suitcases in total) Jordan made sure that was the final price. Three days before the scheduled move, I called Jordan a few times to ask when the movers are coming. No answer every time. So I called the customer line instead, and they gave me the time. When the movers finally came, they were not friendly at all. I was like “whatever- maybe they are having a rough morning”. Just when I thought they were going to move the boxes, the lead mover (Borris) asks for $500 more than the contracted price. They were asking for $2400 for just over 15 boxes! I asked what the reason was and he said that the move was “long distance”. My move was long distance from the beginning, that should have been considered from the get-go. My total items came out to be even less than what I had contacted, and we packaged everything so nicely that all they had to do was move the items to their truck. I honestly think they spike up the price last minute because by then people are too late to contact any other movers. Thankfully i only have 15 boxes so my husband and I will just ship them manually. I can only imagine the frustration if I had furnitures and more stuff. I hope they run out of business if this is how they are scamming their customers!
i was quoted $1660 for the move of furniture. The shipping co. who actually ships (Route 66 do not ship themselves) came to collect and revised the estimate by Rte 66 to $2,318 ! i had given photos and details of all items to be shipped so this is a 'bait and switch' operation. Imo dont use them.
Highly recommend Route 66! I've used other moving companies before, but needed someone longer distance for my move across the state. My Account Manager, Johnny, was super responsive and helpful leading up to the move, and all of the movers were fantastic. They were in/out in about 2 hours on both sides, including disassembly/assembly time and wrapping of furniture and other items. Nothing was damaged and that alone is worth 5 stars!! They also unmounted my TVs for me, which was a huge relief and made moving day so much easier. Thank you guys so much!!
I was ecstatic enough about their service to leave this on my own, they didn't ask me. That should tell you all you need to know!
Do not use this company. We went off the positive reviews and had a service rep who seemed incredibly helpful. Process started out great with constant communication. We were quoted $2500 and were notified there might be a slight price increase depending on how much we ended up taking (we had furniture we weren’t sure If we would keep). Days before the move we could no longer get in touch with our rep and had multiple calls from dispatch providing us with an incorrect move date that took multiple calls to correct. We did a final inventory 2 days prior to the move and were told our original quote would stand. Movers arrived on time and were amazing but told us it would be $5200!!!! Again we could not reach the service rep or anyone in the office to see why our pricing had doubled in 2 days when nothing was added to the move. We even cut out the furniture we were on the fence about. We decided to just move forward since we had no other options since our lease ends tomorrow. Movers packed everything and came back with our total: $6400!!!!! The price had almost now tripled and our entire Home was on the truck so we just had to pay it! Praying there is no hidden fee for when they deliver. I’ve never seen any company be so completely off in their estimate and unresponsive conveniently after they got our holding deposit. Buyer beware. Lesson learned.
