Check out United American moving and storage, they just changed their name to avoid all the negative reviews.
They lost a custom made buffet and did damage to my end table. Tried to reach out to several people within the company and the only who responded was thr person who did the actual move but haven't heard a word since. I'm very disappointed and sad.
Johnny and Lou arrived right on time today, just as they said they would, to handle our furniture move from Casselberry, Florida, to be delivered to Broad Brook, Connecticut. Anyone who’s experienced a move knows how stressful it can be, but these two gentlemen were exemplary in how they handled everything. They arrived on time, loaded everything properly, and worked quickly, efficiently, and with a friendly, professional attitude.
I already know that if I need to schedule another move in the future, it will be with Safe Hands Relocation because of the outstanding service these two individuals provided. This was a wonderful experience, and I hope and pray that our items arrive safely in Connecticut with no issues. As far as the pickup process is concerned, it was excellent. Kudos to Johnny and Lou, and thank you so much for everything you did for us today!
I requested a quote online for moving company and received 100 text messages and emails. Brandon reached out from safe hands relocation and seemed to be an actual person. Although his quote was a little higher than a lot of the others, he explained that he’s not a broker and that was the first time I had heard of that term. Then down the rabbit hole I went , hearing all the horror stories about working with brokers. Although their pricing seems to be very cheap, it seems like you take a large risk with them. Brandon was very helpful with my questions and also had someone that could help transportour vehicles. In the end we ended up not using a moving service after all and will be doing the move ourselves, but I would have definitely went with this company based on my interaction with Brandon.
We originally booked our move with a company called American First, which we chose because they were advertised as veteran-owned and seemed like a reputable option. However, on the day of the move, we were surprised to find that an entirely different company, Safe Hands Relocation, showed up instead. It turns out the broker we hired, American First, collected our deposit and then sold our job to Safe Hands without notifying us.
Johnny, who led the crew from Safe Hands Relocation, was amazing. He was soft-spoken, polite, and very professional throughout the entire process. His team worked efficiently and with great care, making the move as smooth as possible. Despite the surprise, we were relieved to have such a great crew take care of us.
What I learned from this experience is that it’s better to cut out the middleman and go straight to a moving carrier like Safe Hands Relocation. The broker was clearly out for themselves, collecting deposits and passing off the job to another company. Luckily, Safe Hands Relocation showed up and did an incredible job, but they had to correct many of the mistakes made by the broker. In the end, I’m grateful for Safe Hands, but I would recommend avoiding brokers altogether and going directly to a carrier that you can trust.
