I have had a terrible experience with this company. At the beginning of my experience they were great with customer service when they were trying to get my business but once they secured funds from me they were hard to get a hold of. They did not have answers to the questions I was asking. When someone who actually supposedly knew what was going on finally got a hold of me Mandy was here she upcharged me for More cubic feet saying the person who gave me the quote didn't understand how big my items were. Even though I had called three times to make sure they understood that my motorcycle weighed over 600 lbs. Mandy told me it would be an additional $250 to reserve an extra hundred cubic feet I paid the additional money and then when the actual moving company got there I was informed that my price had gone up by $1,000. As of today's date I still have not received my items which were picked up on January 20th. Also to note they are just a brokerage firm They do not do any of their own moving They hired a third-party contractor US Safe Moving. When the guys got there from US Safe Moving they weren't even aware that I had a motorcycle that they were moving and had a rough time getting it on the truck. Me and my friend had to help them. But at this point they had already loaded everything else and I've already given them $1,600. Starline Van lines has been unwilling to work with me They have said multiple times it was a miscommunication. I agreed with him and said yes it was a miscommunication however I as a consumer have taken my ownership for the miscommunication part and not being clear enough about my question and I'm willing to pay extra but not the price quoted They refuse to give me any refund and take any responsibility on their part. Starline Van lines is unwilling to help me track down my items The only thing they'll tell me is that they're safe and they won't give me a location. US Safe Moving Will only tell me that they're in transit They will not give me a truck number they will not give me their whereabouts they said they would call the driver and call me right back I've called three times since no answer goes to a voicemail now. I don't know why I used them I feel taken advantage of.
Yesterday I had to move some furniture to my parents house and I called This moving company. The man arrive on time, packed my stuff and delivered them for only two hours. I was expecting like half a day but he was really fast. Good job guys.
Eric and Chester were awesome! Very courteous and friendly. Most importantly our belongings were moved in the most careful and protective manner! Great rates, great service....I will definitely use them again and highly recommend their services!
This company is the worst. I just had a move today, and they literally stole half of my items. They originally quoted me $3200 to move my 10x10 storage unit across country. I made it clear that it was a 10x10 unit, the salesman then said, “can you give me a list of some of your big items, just so we can get an idea of how large the items will be”? To which I said yes, and I named the larger items in my unit. I placed my down payment of $1200. A week before my pickup date a woman from starline van lines contacts me for “quality assurance”. Now she tells me that it’s not enough to just say I have a 10x10 storage unit that has a few big items; Now she wants the EXACT list of the items in my storage unit. She says she wants to know so she can know exactly how much room is needed on the truck. At this point she is saying the first caller only quoted me the smallest square foot that the truck could allocate; NOW, she’s saying the space needed nearly doubled. Which this being said my new quote was $4382. I told her this was a scam and I wanted my money back, to which she replies, “it’s been too much time lapsed, you no longer qualify for a refund”. At that point she asked for another $500 on top of the original $1200. A week later, now is the day of pickup. The mover(from United Prime Van Lines, Starline only brokered the deal) arrives and tries to upcharge me AGAIN, for services that Starline said was FREE(wrapping furniture, tape, labor, etc). I had to call Starline to get them to call the subcontracted company and get them to relax on the upcharging. I paid $1690 for them to pick up the furniture, and I told them February 1 was my move in date. When February arrives they tell me I said the 3rd, according to the paperwork. Also the price went up to $4,500 according to them, they also told me I only paid $1609, although I showed proof of the payment of $1690. The worker threatened to leave if I didn’t pay, he complained of waiting for nearly an hour, although he was really waiting for his helper to arrive; Oh might I add that he tried to charge me $100 per seven stairs?! All in all, this was terrible; The worse service I have ever received. Stay away from this company they are a scam. My things are missing. The things that ‘are’ here are scuffed up. I taped all of my nails and screws to my item, they are now missing, and I can’t assemble anything. I am so upset. I just paid over $4300 dollars to move across country, and I am wondering why did I even bother; It is not supposed to be this way, especially from a self-proclaimed “veteran owned business”. Whoever the person is that runs this company should be ashamed of his/herself. Once again, stay away from this company. A table is missing, I can’t assemble my furniture, my work desk is missing 3 drawers, the rods are missing for my leather sectional, it’s a TOTAL mess.
