Safeguard Moving Company Georgetown

On time & prepared to move Movers were polite.

UPDATE; This company standing by their word and having integrity is a hallow promise. I filed a claim for damages dated 8/28/24 . I was told that the claim would be settled within 30 days. That has not happened. I emailed on several occasions to check the status of my claim to no avail. It is now close to 60 days on 10/28 and I have not heard anything back from the rep or owner. It has been almost 5 months (almost 150 days on 11/5) since the initial move on June 5th still no claim resolution. It has been past 90 days which is required by Texas law to respond and/or settle a claim. Safeguard moving company is currently in violation of this Texas law. More importantly, it is quite disappointing that you work so hard for your assets and a company can come along and have totally disregard for your items in which you entrusted them to fulfill their promise and when they don’t you expect them to work hard to make it right. At least follow Texas law in which you are legally obligated to uphold and resolve your claims and operate with integrity.

I would not recommend this moving company. Some of my furniture was damaged and missing. Their photos showing items wrapped with padded blankets or shrink wrap were non existent in our move. They didn’t wrap anything including the furniture. The movers (as evidenced by surveillance cameras) intentionally extended the time to charge me almost triple the amount that was quoted and agreed to. This company has not attempted to remedy my damaged and missing furniture as required by law within 90 days. Under Full Value Protection, movers are responsible for the replacement value of lost or damaged goods occurred as a result of the move.

Added Review 2/16/25: They were careful and very efficient, especially Xavier. He was honest and hard working. I’ve done business with this company three times now. I just wish back in May I would’ve been told one of the screws to my bed was stripped instead of having to find out from Xavier this past week. I’m glad he was able to still screw it back on. I noticed also a piece of small wood was chipped from the chest drawer furniture that happened from my move back in May, but thankfully I was able to super glue it back on. The only disadvantage is it’s hard getting a hold of this company if you need to follow up on something like updating any info with your move. I called several different numbers a few times that didn’t answer and left messages. My call was returned once but I missed it due to being on a work call. I called back and nobody called again or would answer. It took nearly a week for me to finally get a hold of somebody just to clarify a piece of furniture that was not added on the work order. I almost went with someone else and left a message to cancel my appointment had my call not been taken close to a week. I kept trying to get in touch with someone because this company provides reliability with protecting your furniture and it’s affordable. I hope in the future they’re more proactive about answering customer’s calls and returning callbacks more than once, but other than that, this company is good and has great employees.

Gio and Luis are the best movers we have ever used. Great service and made our lives hassle free. Would 100% recommend this company over any moving company in the area.
