I grew up with owner there great this is the second time using them

DO NOT use Safeway. They are just the brokers and didn't tell me about all the fees that came after the quote they gave me. It was nearly impossible to get any update on where my stuff was and when it would show up. It took over a month to get my things delivered and when I did finally get my stuff multiple items were destroyed or broken, I watched a box clearly marked fragile just knocked from the truck.

They showed up and were completely shocked when they found out their was no elevator, even tho this was discussed and showcased through pictures atleast 2 weeks prior. They left at 10am because they needed more members to pull off the job, but then they came back with the same people and did the job at 3pm anyway. They scratched and shoved the baby grand all over the staircase. The lid for the keys doesn’t even close anymore because of how little compassion they showed. Completely unprofessional. The entire job took them from 10-4pm. A complete waste of time. I cannot believe how unprofessional they were. Please don’t reach out to this company unless you want your piano to get banged up, chipped, scratched all over, and mishandled with no care.

I was shocked when the movers came from a different company. They informed me that Safeway was a broker and not actual movers, and that my down payment was a brokers fee. I authorized them to bill $1300, They billed $1400 and the only record of the extra hundred is my card statement. Original estimate $3800 movers arrived loaded truck demanded $2022 and to pay another $2200 at destination.so $3800 became over $5000. I could have bought new furnitures.

Safeway is a front company that dole out business to other movers who will rob you blind. DON'T USE THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING LIED TO AND ROBBED. Forget about estimates get a flat take it or leave it agreement.

Nobody can give me any idea when my stuff will arrive. My delivery date window started 7 days ago. They told me on shorter moves (2 states)
they delver most of the time within 6 days. Now, they say they legally have 21 days. I just want an idea of when it's coming.
