Facility is great, brand new, very nice. Managers are horrible. Kayla specifically has zero management experience and terrible customer service. She is rude, not understanding of her customers frustrations, and defensive.
They use a billing platform that asks for a routing and account number. My routing happens to start with a 0 and I’m usually never required to input that. So, in doing as I have previously done with other online billing platforms, I did not enter the zero & everything seemed to have gone through just fine. It wasn’t until I got an email saying non-sufficient funds I called them to figure out what was going on. They said I only entered 8 digits and the system required 9. When I asked them why it wouldn’t notify me when typing in my number (like it does for password creation “must contain xyz”), they said they couldn’t help me because the system is a third party. I said ok, well I would like the $50 penalty waived since this was a system error and not an error on my part. Kayla said that was too bad and there was nothing she could do to help me. I said I wanted to speak with her manager to further discuss the issue and her exact response was “well I can let them know you called but they likely won’t call you back and if they do they will tell you the exact same thing”. Then she gave me some runaround to contact the billing platforms customer service & I said that I would but I still wanted to speak with her manager. She refused to put me in contact with them. So, we cancelled our unit. There are hundreds of other storage facilities that we could move to and I’m sure if their system had an error, they would be happy to waive any associated fees to keep our business. That’s just the right thing to do, and something someone with any management experience would have done. A bad review is worth a lot more than the $50 fee. Take your business elsewhere, until they have a new property manager who can make things right for her customers.
