I visited the Self Storage Plus location in Haymarket today to pay my bill, as I do every month in person. To my surprise, there was a new manager on duty who informed me that my bill had increased by nearly 20-25% from last month. I was also told that payment was due immediately. I explained that I had not received any notification about this change and even showed him my USPS inbox as proof.

The manager then stated that since I moved in on the 2nd, my bill is now due on the 2nd of each month. Due to the lack of prior notification about these changes, I informed him that we would be moving out as of the 2nd. Despite this, he insisted that the bill remains due and threatened to send it to collections if it is not paid.

Throughout the interaction, the manager was extremely rude and lacked understanding. I hope that the previous manager (Suzie), who was always helpful and understanding, will be reinstated.

Update - the notification they sent for the increase on the 2nd was received via usps on August 13th!
