Self Storage Plus

90% of the time I come here to pay my bill, no one is here and they have a stupid sign in the door saying “I will return at a certain time” but they clearly have already returned as I can see them sitting in the building. It is 95 degrees outside. Now this wouldn’t be a problem but every month they raise my rates to the point where if I open up a new storage unit it would be cheaper. If you had competition you would be out of business. Very poor customer service. I am a business person, maybe I should open up a unit next store. Look I’m not complaining but this occurs way too much and I’ve called corporate and they don’t care either. One more thing, the reason for not opening the door today was because of a conference call. Don’t they think corporate management would think customers would be inconvenienced by that? Imagine you go to the grocery store and management has a meeting with all the cashiers and make you wait half an hour to check out. Once the door was opened up she was still on the phone with corporate. Not very good customer service. This review is not going after the employee it’s going after headquarters. Last thing I want to add is out of all the years I’ve been paying for my storage unit, I never once pulled up the reviews. Come to find out, I am not the only one with the same concerns and their response back is always “contact us at” which is code for we don’t care since obviously none of these issues have ever been fixed. They keep it so hot in there our candle melted. My mom took a thermometer with her the other day and it was 90 degrees. What is the point of paying 300 plus for a “temp controlled unit” when these new owners want to keep it 90 degrees in the unit!? Excuse me “90 plus” in the summer and below freezing in the winter..?? You all get paid a lot to not actually do what we’re paying for. All of these good reviews are from when cube smart owned this place. Don’t be fooled! And I know others are mad as well! The heat will ruin your expensive belongings I recommend not renting here at all!!!!!! You will be better off elsewhere that actually gives you what you pay for!

My experience was good until they cheated me out of money. They took a whole month’s worth of payment because the lock was on it for less than a day. They refused to work with me. Disrespectful. Go to Extra Space Storage. They gave me a prorated price when cancelling mid-month. Very disappointed with Self Storage Minus (sorry Plus).

Clean, safe, pleasantly polite staff. 24/7 accessibility

Promotions are good at first but frequent rent increases make this only a good short term rental option. Coverage at office is spotty as well. Often found 'will return' sign on door during normal office hours. Would be nice if they had cross coverage. Facility is safe and secure.
