Shield Moving

Great company! Excellent manners, and very respectable!! Wouldn’t mind picking them again. The movers were careful and were in and out. Very professional!

Let me start by saying that 1 start is actually for people that came to unload the truck. The set up time for unloading was set for 8 am on a Saturday. They showed up at 8:30 am (not really that bad). I asked for 3 guys for 3 hours. What I got that morning was a small guy, his wife and his teenager nephew. We partially paid upfront most of the fees and beeing Saturday morning I thought might as well give them a try. Sorry to say this but they weren't able to lift and carry heavier stuff like sofas and dressers. Thank God for my son and his 2 boys that did all the lifting. I don't know if Shields Moving knew whom they sent , but this experience was horrible. Was an easy set up with the office but what followed up was a disappointment!

I'm thrilled I chose Shield to move us into our new apartment. Very professional appointment set-up, and the team of Edwin and Matt did a fantastic job wrapping, securing, and loading up our belongings for the move.

Very personable guys, they both kept asking if there was anything further they could do to ease our move-out to make things easier for us.

Quick, detailed, friendly service really made an impression on us and very highly recommend this company for anyone's transitioning moving into their new place.

I have used shield moving several times. During the first few times it was just to unload or set up some furniture in my home. No problems, they actually did a pretty good job wrapping the furniture.

The problems started though when I hired them for a full house move last year. Again the furniture was wrapped pretty well. The owner himself did a pretty good job. I would say though at all costs DO NOT hire these guys to pack items. They had absolutely no idea what they were doing. Expensive copper trays were just thrown into a box with a cheese grater. (And they were scratched up as a result) I had to tell them multiple times. 'You need to fill the voids in the box with paper' also there was one point where one of the guys was just standing there saying 'It won't fit in the box' and I had to literally say 'well choose a bigger box' also boxes were closed up half filled. One of the guys broke a glass pitcher in the kitchen and he wouldn't admit to it. The packing job took an incredibly long time, all of which I was paying for (never did they offer me a discount for their incompetent work). This company doesn't know how to pack items. The owner took no responsibility and proceeded to argue and defend himself. (I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in response to this review that I am writing)

The whole experience was extremely frustrating during an already stressful period of my life. I would not hire or recommend Shield again.
