Guys took great care to protect my furniture where punctual and polite made moving day a breeze would not want to have to move without this level of expertise again! 5 stars!!!

Moved my in laws stuff and broke a dining table. Caught em red handed. If I didn’t I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have said a word

If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister hired this moving company to help with moving the items we packed for our parents into a shipping container. The first day they came they showed up on the wrong day and one of the guys was smoking, which my Dad asked him politely not do in his property (this happened again with the same guy vaping throughout the moving process). The day they were actually suppose to help move the items, they broke a priceless table that my parents had when they first immigrated to America…which honestly I understand accidents happen (one of the guys was standing on the table and it broke in half and he cut his leg) but the bigger issue is that they didn’t even say anything about it. If it hadn’t been for my husband who saw it happens and ultimately told my Dad they would have just kept loading the stuff into the shipping container like nothing happened.

But wait it gets worse.

After this occurred the guy who cut his leg came to my Dad for a bandage without explaining how he cut his leg so my husband and I told my Dad who went and asked the movers how everything was going to which they replied “good good” & my Dad was like “so the table isn’t broken?”…silence…when he asked to talk to the supervisor he seemed so understanding and promised to get us a new table or give us the money for similar value and I signed a new contract with him stating so…fast forward to us actually trying to make this happen and the same supervisor became rude and condescending with communication.

Long story short I wouldn’t let this company move a pile of garbage for me, let alone anything I truly care about again. Just want to warn others to be ware!!

Edit: the owner commented below that we agreed to have the table replaced and then decided we wanted payment instead…again another lie because he initially agreed to either way of it being replaced ??. If anyone is interested in photo evidence of this I have the atrocious text messages that he sent my sister that I can show you proving the exact opposite…anything to expose this business and the manager for how terrible they truly are.

Shields Movers offered same day service and two young men did the job. They were professional, courteous, and friendly. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks for restoring my faith in good customer service. Looking forward to the next time.
