Kim - We just want to say a huge thank you to you and Martha and everyone else who made our Mom's move possible. We know it was a monstrous undertaking and it NEVER would have happened without you guys!! There is no doubt that Mom would still be sitting in her old house surrounded by her piles ;)
We don't know how you manage to do this 'transition' job, between being so kind and yet efficient with your clients, managing family dynamics (!), and organizing and moving mountains of stuff. Seriously an impossible job but somehow you pull it off with grace.
We estimate it would have taken us more than a year to accomplish the downsizing/clean out of Mom's home without your assistance - an enormous task that you completed in a few short months. And while your services were not an expense we had originally planned on, the value became crystal clear when her beautifully downsized and professionally staged home sold at full asking price the first week on the market! Thus, she was able to save many months worth of extra mortgage and 'carrying costs', far exceeding the outlay for your services.
We are all so relieved to have this process done!
Mom is thriving in her new independent living community - she loves her cottage, is busier than ever, and is really enjoying this new chapter in her life.

These ladies are amazing! I hired them in 2013 to help me clear out the clutter before I moved to a new place. I had so much stuff to get rid of! They sorted all my stuff which made it easy for me to go through and decide what to keep and what to get rid of. Once I decided what to get rid of, they took it to a charity and gave me an itemized receipt to use at tax time. When I moved to my new place, they unpacked my kitchen for me and put everything in the most logical place while I took a nap (exhausted from the move). What a relief that was! Last year (2105), I hired them again because I decided to declutter again. I went through the house and gathered things I wanted to get rid of and they came and took it to charity and again gave me an itemized receipt. I hired them again this year. I am a paperwork mess and they came in and organized my pile of papers into something I could work with so I can decide what to keep and what to shred. Most of the time they did the work when I was not home. I trust these ladies. They are master organizers and I'm sure I will use them again.
I could not have had a better experience with Kim or Simply Sized Home. She came into a very stressful and sad situation -- our having to sell our treasured family compound after 45 years of ownership and memories -- and made the move out as seamless as possible. I live in NYC, which made it was difficult to manage the move, and the sale of many items, from afar. But Kim stepped in and took care of EVERYTHING so I didn't have to worry. She helped me decide what to keep, what to sell, and what to give away. She and her crew packed up the saved items and got them into storage, and sold the things we couldn't keep. She worked with grace and kindness with every member of our family, our realtor, and with the caretaker of the house. I simply can't rave enough about Kim. She made a terribly difficult situation a pleasurable experience. I can't recommend her highly enough.
Everyone at Simply Sized Home was fantastic. Our home sold quickly, requiring us to downsize to a considerably smaller home in a very short period of time. The folks at SSH were instrumental in making it happen smoothly and with as little heartache as a move like that can have! They helped with EVERYTHING, from organizing, packing, carting stuff away to consignment and donation, scheduling refinishing of furniture and rug cleaning (and following up with vendors when there were problems). They recommended vendors and helped facilitate interactions with them. All the while, demonstrating patience, professionalism and humor. Going in, my husband thought their rates were high, but ended up feeling like they were more than worth the price! Moving (especially downsizing) is chaotic and Simply Sized Home was instrumental to getting it done well. We highly recommend them!
