I used this service in February of 2023. I have to say that initially he was prompt. He did move my belongings from IL to FL. Shortly after, my girlfriend and I broke up. I had attempted to contact Smileys Courier Service as I was needing to move my mother, brother, and daughters belongings to Florida as well. He nevver returned the calls. On one instance he sent me to voice mail. After leaving a message, I waited several days. He did not return the call. At this point it wasnt an issue of any disrespect on my part. I hadnt even spoken to him. The message I left was customer friendly. So he had no reason at all to not return my call. I decided to text him my thoughts on the owner not returning my call. I basically alluded to the fact that him not returning my call had something to do with the breakup of my ex and I. Later that night I received a text from my ex inquiring about the message. So when I am calling and leaving customer friendly messages, I cant get a courteousy call back. But then when I address the issue head on and he doesnt like my opinion on the matter, then he chooses to respond to that. Further, the initial ofice that he charged wasbtween $1500 and $2000. I cant remember the exact amount. But I checked with Budget and they charged around $1500 to rent a 12 foot moving truck with unlimited miles for 5 days, going from IL to FL. This includes returning the truck to a location. So really you can go with a courier or you can just make the drive yourself. Just depends on what the charge is.

Response to the owners comment deflecting comment trying to play innocent:

Mr. Smiley, the message you received was after the fact! It had been some time since I left you that initial unhostile message. On one attempt, you sent me straight to voice mail. At that point everything was non hostile. It was only hostile when I realized you were purposely not returning my call despite the fact that I had been nothing but customer friendly to you I didn't say that you had anything to do with a failed relationship. You obviously did not read my message or understand what the issue was. You say you deal in business only. If that were the case, then you would have returned my call and gave me a quote as you do with your other customers and not discriminate as you did. And like I said. Up until that point it was non hostile. If you want to deal with something in court. Go and file. I will be sure to have my attorney look into counter suing you. My experience here is my experience. If you wanted that experience to have been different, then you should have not been biased. And just so you know, I am not at all moved by your threats.

One last thing Mr. Smiley. If you don't like my review, then it is very simple. Don't read it.

I used Smiley’s service in March 2023 to move my family from IL to FL. Antonio gave us a very reasonable rate in comparison to some of the other quotes that I received from other moving/courier services. On top of that Antonio was always polite and professional in his interactions. He even came to my home to do an initial assessment of our belonging to ensure we were choosing the right trailer. He kept me informed the entire trip on his ETA and my items arrived intact. I highly recommend Smiley’s for anyone looking to make a long distance. Antonio is your guy. He’s the ultimate professional and the sweetest person you’ll ever meet.

I cannot say enough about Antonio and his crew. I have to say, his business name says it all. He had a smile on his face the entire time. What a breath of fresh air to deal with someone who is polite, considerate, and 'happy'! I will definitely be sharing with friends and family. If I ever need a move, he will be the one I call. He was prompt and did his best to place items where they needed to go. He was flexible with dates. I truly cannot say enough about his services. My mom is moved and happy to be in her new home.
