Smooth Moves

Joe and his crew certainly made a recent move easy for me. With one email - which Joe returned promptly - from three states away, I was able to get a bedroom of furniture moved from Jax Beach to Savannah at a fair price with zero hassles. I was at neither location at the time of the move, but did hear from the guys when they were an hour away from delivery - and exactly when I thought they would be arriving.

On time, on point, on estimate, with little but appropriate communication. Yay. Hope to not need movers again, but if I do, will definitely email Joe - and recommend them as well.

Tye and Alex packed my parents home, drove their stuff from Florida to Tennessee and unloaded it all into their new home. They were kind and patient with my senior parents and took excellent care of their belongings, some of which they've owned for 30 plus years. It was wonderful knowing they were in such caring professional hands and I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone moving near or far.

Another great experience with Smooth Moves! We used them before 7 years ago and we can say that the service is still great! Tye, Ted and Alex were friendly, professional and FAST! If we ever have to move again Smooth Moves will definitely get the call!

We used Smooth Moves on Saturday Apr 27. It started off ok, but we did not get what we paid for!! I went with this company because of the reviews I read. I originally spoke to Jaden trying to decide whether we should hire 2 or 3 guys. She told me that 3 guys could move a 3 bedroom house in 2-3 hours. Please see the picture of my notes that I took while on the phone with Jaden. In the end we decided to go with 3 guys to make the move faster. We had a 1690 sq foot house with 3 bedrooms. Only 2 of the bedrooms had beds, the other bedroom had a leg press and an exercise bike that WE moved to our new house BEFORE they arrived. So they basically moved a two bedroom house with a washer, dryer, fridge an upright freezer, and a hydraulic chair, and hair styling station and a few other odds and ends from our garage. We had a desk, a chair, a small table with a printer on it in our dining room. They did NOT move any of those things. They also did NOT move our big screen tv. We had only a handful of boxes for them to take, because we moved all the rest ourselves a week or so in advance, Ty was the one in charge, and although the crew was very personable, they took 5 1/2 hours to move the contents of what was left in our home 5 min down the road. Five and a half!!!! Needless to say we were charged $1360. Oh and one more thing, we had an IKEA desk from one of the bedrooms that a piece started to slide and come lose from the back of it. The only way to get it around the corner in the new house was to stand it on end and Ty stated very emphatically that he did not want to do that for fear that it would come apart.
Well, what were we supposed to do? It needed to get into the room where we wanted it. So after he decided he wasn’t moving it, my husband and son in law moved it, set up on end mind you, and the IKEA desk was no worse for the wear! Ty also commented that the desk wasn’t even going to fit in the room, which it did. It ended up being a frustrating move day. When it was all said and done. When Ty ran my credit card, he asked “would you like to put your tip on the card?” I didn’t even mention anything about a tip!! How rude!! I felt pressured to give a tip, and did end up giving a cash tip, $20 each, but I REALLY regretted it after I found my notes that confirmed that the time they took to move our stuff was double what I was told.
This move was certainly not smooth, I would NOT recommend them.
