Found this company on Forbes so I assumed they'd be our best bet moving from Orlando to Chicago. There was some miscommunication on our end in regards to the amount of things we'd need moved, but ultimately they were able to accommodate for the according upcharge. I take full responsibility for that. What I will not take responsibility for the extremely poor organization on behalf of their movers. I'm writing this review as we wait for our items to be delivered, so I will likely update this review once that is done.
Management is very nice and easy to talk to. Matt was very responsive, and Kiesha was very helpful throughout.
Movers called us the day before to provide a 4 hour morning pickup window. The first window started at 8am but it kept changing as the day progressed, until it was 8pm and no one had arrived yet. When asked for an alternative, movers said there was no option but to pick up that night. They did not arrive until 12am and worked overnight until 5am, at which point they decided to sleep on the property's floor so they could move the items to the truck at 7am in the morning. I wish I were lying about this.
When we called to inform the company about this issue, they said they were not responsible for this scheduling and provided no compensation for the terrible service. We paid the full amount and communicated that we expected our things to be delivered promptly as a result of this experience.
We were given a window for the items to arrive within 7 days of the pickup. They assured us this would be the final window and that it would not go over in time, as we made it very clear that we needed to plan with our other accommodations while our items arrived. Today, they decided to change the window once again. What worries me the most is not knowing if this window will be respected, given the pickup experience we had.
I'm giving them two stars because the movers themselves were extremely kind and hard-working, considering the circumstances, and Kiesha has been helpful with the final delivery process. Otherwise, I would give them a one-star.
Again, this is an extreme case that I doubt often occurs with other customers, and I'm hoping everything goes well during delivery... but I figured I'd share my experience so you take the necessary precautions to avoid any issues when hiring them.

I can't say enough great things about Solomon & Sons Moving Company. From start to finish, their team was profession, efficient, communicative and incredibly careful with all my belongings. They arrived on time, worked quickly but meticulously, and made the entire moving process stress free. Special shout out to Tyler who showed up to my apartment 1 day after contacting Solomon and booked my move the following day. Also huge thanks to Mike for keeping me updated and informed throughout the process. Their friendly attitude and hard work made the entire experience smooth sailing. If you're looking for a reliable, trustworthy company that actually walks the talk I highly recommend Solomon-and be sure to ask for Tyler and Mike. They will take great care of you!

The move went perfectly because this company has got some immaculate professionals working for them. From the outreach/estimate agent Tyler, exceptional coordinator Jennifer, to their foreman David, the entire process was seamless.
Moving in a rental building comes with inherent logistical challenges (only use certain elevator, parking restrictions etc) but David was able to navigate that & direct his team accordingly. He really is a rockstar, he even had the courtesy to check in with me to ensure everything was going as I hoped at midpoint.
I'd absolutely recommend Solomon and Sons to anyone that is planning a move.
