Sons of Thunder Movers

Candice and her crew absolutely saved me on my recent move! I had to downsize considerably, and was 5 flights up on the 3rd floor! It was a tough move and Sons of Thunder made it as painless as it could possibly be. They were careful and considerate of my belongings and secured everything very well. I highly recommend this local mover! No one standing around smoking and looking at their cellphone. Just fast, and courteous service.

Not happy and do not recommend this company.

When I first hired them I had high hopes because Candice convinced me that they would take great care of our furniture, and I like to give new small businesses a chance to prove themselves.

Previous to the move I called to confirm and asked if they would wrap our furniture and she told me that they don't wrap for local moves. So my girlfriend and I spend several hours carefully wrapping our furniture with plastic, cardboard, and styrofoam to prevent damage.

On the day of the move they were 2 hour late.

During the move the men were polite and agreed to our requests without hesitation, which is about the only good thing that I can say.

Less than half a mile before our final stop they decided to get gas, which I thought was weird since I was paying by the hour. Why should I pay for them to pump gas? That should be done on their own time after the move.

After the move we began unwrapping our furniture only to find several pieced that we had wrapped with plastic and cardboard for protection had been damaged!

After several weeks of calling and emailing they finally agreed to repair our damaged furniture.

The day finally came for them to pick up the furniture and they were an hour late!

Candice told us we would have our furniture back within a week, but it took almost 2 full weeks to get it back. And when we finally did get it back they were again 2 hours late and the repair job was poorly done. They just filled some of the dents with crayon that gets easily wiped off with a damp towel and completely missed several areas of damage. Even the men who dropped off the items agreed that it was poorly done.

I tried to get Candice on the phone while her men were here to get things sorted out but she chose not to answer. Her employee called to see what he should do and she answered right away, but it seems that she told her men to pack up and leave without even telling us. Who leaves in the middle of a conversation with a customer without saying anything?

I tried calling again afterwards and left a message but it seems at this point her solution is to just ignore me and hope that I go away.

I will not be using them again and will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.

Worst 'moving' experience ever. If you can even call it that. They never showed up! I even emailed them days prior to verify the move and after waiting several days for a response, Candace finally replied to confirm the move. 9 am came and went. I called and emailed several times to find out if they were coming but no one ever picked up. DO NOT go with this company. Completely irresponsible especially at this time of the year and time of the month where many movers are booked. Thank goodness I was able to find people to move me.

They did such a fantastic job. The guys were friendly and so courteous. The prices are reasonable and none of our stuff was damaged.

After using Sons of Thunder Movers I will never move my own self again! What a fantastic job they all did, at an affordable price. Taking excellent care, at both places, to not scratch furniture and chairs into walls even! I had 6 boxes labeled fragile, and after unpacking, not 1 thing was broken! Thank you so much guys!!!!
