In short notice, I was able to get in touch with this company and had the same day service. They were very professional and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this company to assist you with your next move.
They will arrive on time for sure. Their goal is to load and be on the road in 4 hours flat, no matter how large the load or how delicate the items may be. Since their insurance does not cover damage to items packed by the owner, why would there be any care or responsibility by them? We continue finding minor damage that will make your furniture look unsightly, i.e., scratches/dings/pressure indentations on furniture, oak dining chairs separating apart from being forcibly twisted and stuffed in the truck during loading. This furniture was not 'owner' packed (who packs furniture?) nor was the level effort required by the movers provided to protect / cover / handle / load / stack because in the end they will consider themselves not responsible for any damage. Be prepared to walk on egg shells and lots of attitude.
I’ve used Gail and his men, from Southwest moving and Relocating, three times and when I move again it’s going to be them. I’m giving a recommendation to my brother to use them today and decided I’d take the time to give them a shoutout. They are smart and efficient and moved my pool table and incredibly heavy out door granite top patio table no problem. I’m very impressed. Best money ever spent. Thanks again guys!

Southwest Moving and Relocation handled our move from Ivins UT to Valley Center CA over March 23-25, 2018. While we did most of the packing ourselves, Angie packed our artwork (~50 paintings), flat screen TVs, and audio equipment such that they could be efficiently loaded into the truck. On the day of our move (3/23), the crew was super-efficient and careful with our furniture and possessions. Furniture was well wrapped and protected, including a custom-built dining room table. We were on our way out of the house by mid-afternoon.
The unload on 3/25 at Valley Center was quite a sight to behold. The new home is in a very hilly area of North San Diego County. We were located at the top of a hill with access by a 1 mile long narrow winding hilly road. Gail had looked at the access from Google Earth and determined there was no obvious way to turn the rig around at the top of the hill. He scoped the path out with one of his LA crew members. They determined a point for a turnaround that was ½ mile up the road. That meant Gail had to BACK his full-size rig on the crazy access road for the other ½ mile. Truly amazing. BUT, it is not over yet…… Once he got to the top of the hill he had to negotiate backing the rig our 150’ uphill driveway that is oriented at a less than optimal angle for a smooth direct back in the from the narrow access road.
Once the truck was stabilized and everyone had a chance to catch their breath, the unload started with the LA based crew. That went exceptionally well. Like the load crew, the guys were very efficient. Now that we today (4/30) finally unpacked the last painting (after waiting for the builder to finish punch list painting, etc.). We can say we had ZERO damage to anything.
It was a joy and blessing for us to work with Gail, Angie, and the stellar/efficient load and unload crews. Quite the opposite of our move to Ivins in 2014 using one of the large national brands, where we had extensive damage and a chaotic unload. I am more than happy to provide a personal recommendation, as Gail can provide my contact information. There are a couple of photos of the crazy backup on their Facebook page.
I called southwest moving company to get some pricing on moving a piano locally. The move is just a little over a mile in distance. The guy I spoke to on the phone was very rude and short with his answers which I just chocked up to him being busy. When he quoted me a price of $280 I thought I better call around and see if that is a fair price. I called three other moving companies and the price ranged form $120 to $150. I guess this was just to small of job for the people over at Southwest.
